Now there's somebody with a unique voice too. Just love that 80s hair band music. :D

IMO, Tom Keifer and Mark Slaughter were two of the best hair band vocalists. :)

I wasn't much of a Slaughter fan, but I thought Sebastian Bach was one of the better hair band vocalists.......he seemed to have great vocal control.

Definitely. He should be included.

CJ Snare of FireHouse is the king of all hair band vocalists! :D

Deb - my favourite Saga album was Wildest Dreams. It seems that it's the ROR of Saga world though. Oh well. Here's the pretty obscure single from '87:

Had to remove the comma from that URL, but thanks for the link.

I HIGHLY recommend the 2nd one down on that page, Baton Rouge - Shake Your Soul. Very melodic and well produced CD.

Baton Rouge's song "Walks Like a Woman" was mentioned earlier in this thread. I liked the song so I requested that album from the site's owner. He generally takes most requests so if you can think of an obscure record that isn't listed already, he probably has it and is willing to post it.

They've also got the First Strike album by Cobra...which was the band Jimi Jamison was in before he joined Survivor. I've been looking for that for ages. Here was their single...

Can't find this damn song anywhere and it's
been a nagging knot in my noggin since I got rid of all my records
in the early 90's...............help please!
Sorry this will seem like a long post.

John Hunter

TRAGEDY

Lyrics
It's 3 A.M.
Can't fall asleep
This must be loneliness
But man, it's black and deep
It was just no use
Hanging on
I'm a mess since you're gone
With my love

I'm breaking down
Come off the wall
It's been so long since
We talked at all
Such a sad excuse
Be a man
Let it go understand
That it's gone

Every day is just another page
In this tragedy
Every day is just another page
In this tragedy

Baby, please take me back
I'd give my soul
To get us back on the track
Well it's just no use
Hanging on
Like a fool
Like a dog when you're gone

Every day is just another page
In this tragedy
Every day is just another page
In this tragedy

It's a crying shame
This shape I'm in
I just stop crying
Then I start again
Each day's the same
Full of memories and sorrow
But if you don't want to love me
Baby when is tomorrow

Oh, baby please
Remember me
Have you forgotten
How you worshipped me
How I set you free
Making love
I'm a fool you won't talk to me now

Every day is just another page
In this tragedy
I can't believe that
I've been replaced
In your fantasies

Oh, baby, baby, baby, baby
Here comes the sun
But it's always gray
'Til you come back to me

Is it just me or this is Queen's most obscure and forgotten singles of the 1980s? Possibly suffered from being released just after Under Pressure and being on the unloved Hot Space album, too - but what a great song this is....

I used to hate Huey Lewis and the News back in the 80s - but I heard this one for the first time in ages recently and it's not half-bad in a cheesy kind of way.,...

That song's not bad but that "Hot Space" album as a whole was a hell of a clunker compared to their previous albums. There are maybe two or three good tunes on that album and the rest suck really, really bad.

I might get ridiculed severely for these, but keep in mind that in the 80s... I was a tricycle motor. But I remember these songs vividly and love them regardless of the cheese factor!!!!

Boy Meets Girl -- Waiting for a Star to Fall: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nzaph2OBuqM

Simply Red -- If You Don't Know Me By Now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRPzJWeICzY

Mike and the Mechanics -- The Living Years: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqQM-HoFeEk

I'm a doofus (fixed the links)... enjoy. 8)

I think it was being 4 years old and for the first time in your life thinking about your own Daddy passing away one day. It was very profound. I guess that is why I still cry when I hear it almost 20 years later.

That was why for me too, although I was older when it came out. My Dad passed away a couple years ago and it would be really hard to listen to it now. :( But I have always loved that song.
