Favourite REO Speedwagon song

Postby StevePerry1986 » Fri Sep 21, 2007 1:16 pm

Yeah, I know I make a lot of "favourite" threads, but I find it fun. Anywho, what's your favourite REO Speedwagon song? Mine would have to be Keep The Fire Burnin'.

Say You Love Me or Say Goodnight. Or anything with Richrath tearing it up. :D

Roll With the Changes. I love the keyboard parts throughout, both piano and organ.

1) Variety Tonight
2) Don't Let Him Go
3) That song that's on The Goonies soundtrack (dunno what record it's from, can't remember what it's called but it's kick-ass)

Yea, but Don't Let Him Go's at least not a ballad.

Doesn't need to be...some of the best tunes are mid-tempo kinda things that have some menace and slow-burn kind of feel.

But trot out a "Keep On Loving You" and my dome will be on a swivel looking for nearest exit.

Can’t Fight This Feeling.

I know most people hate this song (see JoePa's post) but I can’t help but like it.

As far as straight forward rock goes I would choose “157 Riverside Avenue” from the Live: You Get What You Play For album.

Not that I hate it, or hate IT and IT ALONE, it's just ballads as a general rule suck and bore me to tears.

To be honest, I never really liked REO much until I heard these great live performances with Styx – Tommy Shaw has some great vocals on RWTC.
('Keep on loving you' still makes me cringe, though, lol)

Classic: Tie between Roll With The Changes and Ridin' The Storm Out

Lately...I've been stuck on Another Lifetime. Great song along with Find Your Own Way Home. :-)
