KISS deserves to be inducted into the RNRHOF.

Kiss deserves to be inducted into the RNRHOF in Cleveland because it was their music, their shows, their makeup, their image & their attitude which gave rock & roll a good kick in the ass back in the 70's even though misguided critics can't get past the pyrotechnics, their over the top shows & the famous tongue of the Demon himself Gene Simmons & Kiss has made some great music with classic rock albums that are timeless like Alive, Destroyer, Love Gun & Rock & Roll Over while I have to admit I have never seen Kiss live in concert & probably never will since I did my concert thing as a rock fan a long time ago during my youth but I'm a dedicated Kiss fan(not a hardcore fan who has everything) who knows what he's talking about! Don't you think Kiss deserves to be inducted into the RNRHOF in Cleveland?

A dedicated fan who knows what he is talking about? Hmm...perhaps you could enlighten us all on where this qualification has come from (School of Rock perhaps?) or maybe it is your inability to articulate your opinion that prevents the unenlightened (ie: the rest of the world) from truly understanding Wayne.

Bloody hell Wayne, you talk about Kiss shows being over the top without ever having been! So you would be speaking from your own knowledge then, or are you guilty of believing the hyperbole of the Kiss publicity machine?

Kiss deserves to be inducted into the RNRHOF in Cleveland because they're more than just their makeup, their pyrotechnics & the famous tougue of Gene Simmons with great music as well as being great performers which misguided critics will never understand sadly.

They deserve it. They're famous. Who's more famous than KISS? As long as it's the original four than I'm all for it. I see Tommy Thayer up there and I will BURN everything I own that says KISS on it. Ok maybe that's a bit drastic but if I should happen to run out of firewood I may consider it on a cold night. I'm actually considering it right now. It's pretty friggin' cold out here.

KISS won't get in for about the same reason they never got a lot of airplay following the ALIVE album and Destroyer. They pissed off all of the rock and roll writers because everyone wanted to be the first to release pictures of the band without their make-up, for this reason the band never allowed any reporters back stage or into the personal lives. The media was bent on capturing them without their make-up and KISS wasn't giving in to anybody. Many reporters lost their jobs because they had instructions to photograph the band without the make-up and they failed. The band sent the entire media into a frenzy and the band didn't care. For this reason all of the little reporters never stopped crying. The cover of their UNMASKED album just about sums it up.

Dude, you're way off. They may have starting augmenting the sound in the 90's, but back in the day? HELL NO! I saw them WAY too many times. There's was a LIVE sound. They didn't even start using backing vocal samples till the REVENGE tour in 92.

Nope, on their influence ALONE they deserve to be in the HOF, and Jann Weiner simply won't have it cause he doesn't like em. Absolute BuLLSHIT! Their live show has been cribbed by everyone from Metallica to Garth Brooks to the producers of AMERICAN IDOL.

Yes, it is a freakin joke KISS and Journey are not in the Hall. But they will be..look how long it took Van Halen. They want to have one really big artist every year. Something tells me next year will be KISS.

bands that are already considered Hall of Fame.......whatever...I think KISS should have been there a long time ago. The process to nominate a band is as stupid as the Hollywood giving out a star on their famous walk...

Yes, they do this all the time in the Rock of Fame. It is about who the Critics like. To even say The Pretenders are in the HOF over KISS is ridiculous. It took Black Sabbath adn Van Halen many years before getting in. KISS will come...I truly believe they save bands like KISS when you have a weak class.

Kiss may refuse to appear. They aren't concerned about being inducted in the HOF, although it would be a nice way for them to get a little publicity for an upcoming tour. I just hope that if and when that happens, they don't play "Rock N Roll All Nite" again. Don't you think everyone has seen and heard that song played by them before? Let's see them go out there on national TV and play "Heavens On Fire" and "Dr. Love", make a new impression on the world with a reminder that the band has OTHER songs.

the pop and critics hall of fame in cleveland is a joke, i hope none of my fav bands get in, so i never have to go, the ceremony is a joke what do those people inducting the band have to do with them.
