According to this article, LZ had 25 million users hit their website to pay $250 a seat for their upcoming reunion show. Hypothetically, if they could accomodate everyone of them, they're looking at $6.25 billion. Do the math. It's staggering. And that's just the gate. No telling how much swag sales could generate.

Fans are scrambling to register for one of the 18,000 tickets for their reunion gig.

Led Zeppelin fans have been urged to "be patient" following the staggering demand for tickets to see the rockers reunite.
The deadline to register for the ticket ballot was supposed to close on Monday, but organizers have now given fans an extra two days to apply for tickets after 25 million people attempted to gain access to the official website on Sunday.
The band revealed last week plans to reform for a special tribute concert for late music mogul Ahmet Ertegun, 27 years after they split.
Promoter Harvey Goldsmith says: "We urge people to be patient and to remember this is a ballot system and that all registrations will have equal standing regardless if they register first or last."
The news of Led Zeppelin's reunion caused the concert's official website to crash minutes after opening on September 12, as fans scrambled to register for one of the 18,000 tickets made available for the gig at London's O2 Arena on November 26.
Tickets are priced at $250 and are limited to two per person. The ballot will now be conducted after registration for the gig closes on Wednesday.

A Journey reunion for one tour would be pretty much like Van Halen with Roth right now. Most nights would sellout, a couple of cities they could do 2 nights in. A big deal, but not as big as some here paint it.

I don't think it would even be half as big as VH b/c Journey has been playing every summer for the last 5 or 6 years. Most of those people thought they WERE seeing Perry (before JSS came aboard).

Journey would get loads of guaranteed, advance money.... but they'd have to prove to the labels that they can deliver those tunes.... with Perry singing em....
.... but - it ain't gonna happen....
Why?
Perry doesn't need the money.....

Journey renunion with Perry would dwarf Van Halen.
VH pulled their lame reunion shit 4 years ago, and it was horrible. I walked out. Terrible show, terrible showmanship. Sammy tried, but he was up there with rehabbers.
Journey with Perry, would be a classy move(hold your jokes)....It would be huge and, and I stress, and, a new CD would put Journey with Perry on par with U2 and Bruce.

And, they'll "make waves". Sure, they will...about as big as the ones this year.
Journey will never be on the same level as U2 or Bruce, or even VH - NEVER. You are comparing Journey with LEGENDS. Journey isn't a legend. The time for those thoughts ended in 1986.

I wish they would hit that price. One of the most talented people in music is sitting at home petting his cats.
