Here's a couple links for those interested...Once again, I'm not auditioning for Journey with these things, just wanted to share with people here who like coming to our shows, or for whatever reasons can't make the shows.

Audio is so-so, but good video with a "manned" camera as opposed to all the tripod stuff I have on our site...

It would restore my faith. Short of that, anyone other than Jeff or Perry(not really an option) doesn't interest me in the least.

However, it is of my opinion that you sound nothing similar to Perry. No worries though, as Arnell also doesn't as well. In fact, nobody does and nobody ever will sound similar to the one and only Steve Perry. This is exactly why Journey made their biggest mistake in their post-Perry history by dumping JSS.
Journey not only threw JSS under the bus. They threw the good name of "Journey" under it as well

Agreed that he does have the range and vocal style of Perry, however the inflection is off at the appropriate times..but that could be easily adjusted if he had the right coach or team around him. I'm sure IF Journey brought him in they would work with him. But that would be smart..and they haven't done much that is smart in quite some time.
Jeremey wrote:Thanks, guys - Regarding sounding like Perry....Well....Anyone who "gets" what we do will understand that I'm not making an effort to go up and "ape" Steve Perry's vocals. In fact, that was one of the major reasons Neal was on board with me originally, because he told me that I sang the songs in my voice, but made them my own in a way that Perry would have without consciouly copying Perry. I know we are a "tribute" band, but I think we fall into that gray area in that yes, we are doing a tribute to Journey and bringing the concert to people in the Journey tradition, but we are not dressing up (not in the past 4 years anyway) like Perry or Schon or anything like that, we're just trying to bring the concert experience to people. If anyone wants to hear what my "own" voice sounds like, and then get a better understanding where the Perry comparisons have come from during my "career," you can go to YouTube and do a search for Baby Quinn Jeremey Hunsicker and watch the video "Baby Quinn September 07," where I recorded a cover of "Moon River" to accompany a baby-montage. That's just my natural voice, and it seems to suit Journey songs well. I don't have the link here at work but it should be easy to find.
