Gosh what a load of post!! :-)

Haven't been on for a while, been having tests but now have a diagnosis. I have rheumatoid arthritis...two things I have to say about this are
1. it's better than Cancer which is what the docs thought I had originally
2. I know it's not curable, but as long as I do what I need to to protect myself from declining rapidly I should be ok..no use getting down in the dumps about it....

hmmmmmm  I think the Third one( because I just realised that there needs to be a third one:D ) Is I need to put walking cane on my christmas list for santa this year !!

And also My goodness you guys! there are sooooo many posts here... oooh I'd ust like to say thanks once again to Indyjoe for stopping by and saying Hi in a PM too, it was much appreciated :-)

My father-in-law has that in almost every joint in his body. He doesn't get around very well but he rarely, if ever, complains. The guy's a trooper.

Glad to hear it's not more serious but that's still no walk in the park.

I know...but I think if you look at the positive sides of things it helps...I also have asthma and bronchitis it's just one of those things I guess, but hey there's people in far worse situations than me so i'm grateful for that :).....

now I just have lots and lots of reading to do don't i? ;) LOL

Glad to hear that you have the less serious of the ailments. Though I know rheumatoid arthritis is no joke. I did a report about in school once. Hopefully your symptoms will not be as severe. Just remember to follow all of your Dr's instructions :D

I'm so sorry you have that to deal with Lenny. Yes, it is better than cancer, but that doesn't make it a picnic in the park.

I have been wondering where you have been, Lenny. I am glad to hear that you have a firm diagnosis, and not cancer. Now follow the doc's orders, and I pray that things will be good for you. :D

Glad to see you back again! I don't know much about RA, but the man who is building our wonderful back porch/deck has it. He mentioned he had a Dr. appt & is on meds...you wouldn't know it from how fast he built this thing with just his son! Follow those docs orders.

There are people out there that read this forum and may have cancer. If I had it, this thread might make me feel pretty sad.

No need to feel sad, I say about cancer as I was having tests, and there is an 80% mortality rate in my own family from the disease, my own father passed away due to cancer, and not his asthma & bronchitis, another hereditary factor..I already mentioned I am aslo an asthmatic.
But you know we only pass this way once, so you got to be as happy as you can on your journey, but that is just my philosophy on things. I also mentioned in a PM I look to my oldest sister for inspiration as she has Multiple sclerosis and she is a real trooper and live as full a life as she can...

Ironically we both work for the National Health Service in the UK :)

Thank you peeps for the well wishes I didn't realised I would be missed to be quite honest...so a really bigThank you & hug to ALL :)
