My other non Journey favorites are -Zeppelin/Robert Plant,Mr Big (or Eric Martin solo,one of my all time favorite singers),TNT(Harnell era and other Harnell projects),Foreigner,Van Halen (both eras,prefer DLR),The Babys/John Waite,The Darkness,Queen,KIX,Whitesnake,KISS,JSS,Sam Cooke,Motown and old school soul music (Four Tops,Temptations,Jackson 5,The Supremes,Michael Jackson before he was a kid toucher),Aerosmith,just for starters.

I have been on a HUGE Zeppelin kick since the reunion show announcement.They were TRULY brilliant.Page was a MASTER producer and know how to get GREAT drum,guitar, and bass sounds.God, I love that band!!

In many respects I feel that Led Zep and classic Journey were similar.Mainly, no 2 albums were the same,they had a distinct sound, with a MASTER vocalist and guitarist, and they both could play a variety of music. Neither band had very many limits. Although I will say Perry was a WAAAAY better live vocalist then Plant!!

Saw them at the old Hammerjacks with Warrant back in the day.
I still have the pictures of me when I met them.

I have a funny story about KC.My buddy used to play in a band called Mis-fit, and they opened for Warrant and KC at Shiley Acres in West Virginia. I met him there that day as his guest and KC broke up before the show.The tour bus pulled in sat there for about 30 minutes, turned around and pulled outApparently, the ENTIRE band quit on Lenny Wolf on the way to the show..So my bud's band got to play an extra long set and Warrant played a longer set also. It was the same week that Heaven by Warrant, went to number 1 on MTV.Needless to say, there were close to 10,000 people at this outdoor show.

Warrant were SUPER COOL back then, and gave my buddy's band as much room as they needed, as well as hanging out with all of us after the show!!

Ahhhh...the good ole days!!

Yep, I actually bought GTR on cassette when it came out. When The Heart Rules The Mind is excellent too.
The Alphaville song is so amazing and I am usually just on the path of mainstream stuff. Can learn a lot hear, another reason this place is so great.
