Heard Simple Minds' Alive & Kicking the other day out of the blue and realized that it might be one of the best songs recorded in the 1980s. Holds up amazingly well, too.

Good song, but I prefer Tears For Fears in that genre.
My favorite groups are Van Halen (boh eras, but prefer DLR), Kix, Kingdom Come, Aldo Nova and Zebra.

Kingdom Come were really good NIGGY!
Saw them at the old Hammerjacks with Warrant back in the day.
I still have the pictures of me when I met them.
I have a funny story about KC.My buddy used to play in a band called Mis-fit, and they opened for Warrant and KC at Shiley Acres in West Virginia. I met him there that day as his guest and KC broke up before the show. The tour bus pulled in sat there for about 30 minutes, turned around and pulled outApparently, the ENTIRE band quit on Lenny Wolf on the way to the show..So my bud's band got to play an extra long set and Warrant played a longer set also. It was the same week that Heaven by Warrant, went to number 1 on MTV.Needless to say, there were close to 10,000 people at this outdoor show.
Warrant were SUPER COOL back then, and gave my buddy's band as much room as they needed, as well as hanging out with all of us after the show!!
Ahhhh...the good ole days!!

Of course, an awesome, AWESOME band and our compatriots JH and Walrus I think concur.
Raoul & The Kings Of Spain is so damn underrated.

That's a great song. Great intro, great vocals.
Alive & Kicking - Simple Minds Great first line too. "You Turn Men On"...

I liked it in '88.
