For the better part of 20 years, Journey and Steve Perry have always shyed away from "compilation" albums for the most part. Herbie Herbert even alluded to the Journey selling power, stating that they didn't need to share their profits by being on K-Tel or any other sort of "era" or "genre" album. Now, there is an infomercial that not only has Journey songs on such an album, but also Steve Perry's solo music as well. Is this it? Do they see now as the last chance to cash in before this thing crashes and burns for the last time? I never thought I'd see them on a "Time Life" presents commercial, but that has apparently happened. I think this may signify the final nail in the Journey coffin. I'd like to see ONE post where I bashed Arnel's talent....ONE. I've said his pronunciation of the words and the language barrier as it relates to the song writing process would be obstacles, but I've NEVER dissed his talent(s). In all seriousness, here's the deal. Remember how much fun we were all having with Jeff in the band? All the late night phone calls, planning to travel to see the band and all that shit? Well I fucking feel like it was taken away without good reason. We got the rug pulled out from under us and it sucks donkey dicks. It's kind of hard for me to do anything other than bash the culprits.

Regardless, I think we've both made a lot of friends because of it and that is something that is good.

Like Dean, I don't have the energy to argue either. As for my "nauseating" comment, it was directed at the fact you think we might be bashing you in SB. Nothing could be further from the truth. With all due respect, we probably won't think of you at all as we'll be too busy partying and having a blast. You know I asked you to come and you also know I said you should be there. For whatever reason(s), you're not coming and why you're not coming is certainly none of my business. As for Arnel, I never "bashed" him for being Asian...never once. I pointed out that I don't think he will be accepted by Journey fans partly in fact because, yes, he is Asian. Do I have a problem with that? Absolutely not, and I said I'll be at their first Chicago show if indeed he fronts the band. However, I think it's foolish to think people don't take into account the "look" and stage presence. Ask Milli Vanilli. They propped up 2 good looking black guys because the label KNEW 2 very average looking white guys didn't stand a chance.
