If I had the patience, I would home-school my kid. But then I wouldn't get the break I need while she is in school.

Methinks that all schools should have metal detectors......... who knows, in the future, metal detectors will be a part of every school. Sad to think that.

Law enforcement officials here are secretly aware of a plot by Al Qaeda to do to our schools what they did in Beslan, Russia. What these inhuman monsters did to those children and other innocent people is simply mind-blowing. If this ever happens here, parents will probably keep their children home from school and our economy will take a huge hit.

If they attack our schools, the only hope would be to immediately attack the scumbags and they know that children will not do that, so they are an easy target. From what I gather, if they do this, they are counting on Americans lynching muslims, burning down mosques, etc., to ignite a larger holy war.

What they did to those poor children and parents in Beslan is beyond horrific. Girls were raped with the barrels of guns. Some kids were shot dead and then their bodies dumped out the second story windows as a warning to others. If that happened here, I fear that the reaction would be exactly what those demons would want.

Unreal. What a bunch of pigs. As unpopular as the Iraq war is, Al Qaeda has done some unspeakable things to Iraqi's. It's actually helped sway some of the people towards United States forces. This blog I've been reading is very enlightening. Even if you are against the war (which I basically have been), this gives you some insight that some good things are actually happening.

A little more on the situation earlier today........... they boy brought a gun to school to shoot another boy over a girl. Possible problems with parents too, but not sure on that.

What was odd about all of this is that the boy let the students he held hostage make cell phone calls and text messages.
