So Jeremy had set a blog to shed some light on his experience? That is pretty cool. I imagine telling this story, though, was hard for him and can see why he would not go further with it. At least it sounds like he didn't get word of this opportunity until AFTER the Maryland Pre-Show party. Having that on his mind and having to keep it from everybody would've truly ruined what appears to be a highlight in his career; getting to perform with Jeff.
It's even more wonderful to see Jeff adding his insights and sincerely offering Jeremy his support/friendship/commraderie even though he wound up on the receiving end of a first-class backstabbing. I wonder if Jeremy took any of the advice all of us were trying to give him on
the board at the time, telling him "DON'T DO IT!!!". I know some of us probably came off alittle brash at the time, but hopefully he knew
that was because we all KNEW that he was TOO GOOD to get involved with that kind of situation. If Jeremy adds any more entries to the blog, can one of you forward them to me like Rick did?
And while I'm on that subject, since I've been away from the boards, has any thing been said to 'truly' explain what was going on inside the Journey camp that led to their decision to part with Jeff in the first place? I am still baffled by that one... Has Jeff ever really found out if there was one event or incident that set this all off? I mean, I know all of us at MR.Com are but one very tiny piece of the Journey Machine's "Touring" fanbase but did the band and management see things differently on the 2006 tour? Were they under the impression that Jeff wasn't being as widely accepted, in the grander scheme of things, as he was with us and a lot of the BT'ers? Just curious if that has ever been explained. From the outside-looking-in it still doesn't make sense, Jeff's dismissal that is. I did love the few new tunes on his MySpace page that I got to hear before I left. Hopefully this will all fuel Jeff's already raging fires and he'll give us a Jeff Scott Soto album that knocks us on our asses with pure melodic pleasure and bliss

And I honestly feel the same way about Mr Augeri now. In hindsight, I personally got so caught up in the fact that Jeff was getting the gig that I totally blocked out all of the years of hard work Augeri gave this band and its fans. It has taken all this time for me to truly start to appreciate the Augeri Era again and some of the great music he and the band gave us. I'm not gonna even mention anything about TG or his final performances because it really doesn't matter, IMO. His fate was sealed for some reason, just like Jeff's, and if it wasn't TG then the band would of found another reason to get rid of him. I hope someday Mr Augeri speaks up on this topic and gives his side to the story. And I hope he comes out of hiding with some new solo material too.
Talk about a GREAT interview... Put Herbie Herbert in a room with a tape recorder with Augeri, JSS and Jeremy and let Herbie fire away questions, share his insights, tell stories...
Could you imagine the kind of interview THAT could be??? With Herbie's history in the band I bet he could draw out all kinds of juicy stuff from these guys! I mean, with all of this corruption, backstabbing and greed, the Journey Machine DESERVES to thrown to the wolves and shown in their true colors. It's long over-due...
Finally, just a side-note: Looks like my First Seargent came thru. He has worked with the Command Chief here and the Commander at the
Public Affairs office and it looks like Brett Michaels will be coming out to our ramp to get a up-close look at our F-16s on the day before
his performance. So not only will I get to see a Brett Michaels Concert next week but I'll be able to meet him and talk jets, bombs,
avionics-geek-speak and, hopefully he'll share some great Groupie stories

Take it easy everyone!
H@kk Out!
