Hey guys. My wife is working on a project for class (she went back to college) and I need to know a safe program that will allow me to download YouTube clips.

I use Firefox as a browser, and there is a plugin for it called Fast Video Download. It does exactly what you are referring to.

Now, I am off to help her out. She has to do a team project on the film "Hoosiers". Nothing like school work at 11:30. Fortunately, the project is due next Monday, but she is trying to get this part out of the way before class tomorrow night.
