Yo Journey & Arnel...
This is what a frontman sounds like, acts like, looks like and yes, feels like!
There is a special quality there that is intangible that YOUR little band will be sorely missing.

Corrected that for you. ;-)

That YouTube clip doesn't do the show justice i'm sure, altough JSS sounds good the music seems a little 'off' imo of course.

Youtube almost never does anything justice. People with digital cameras and cell cams and not the proper equipment. Still a great way to see things though.

Absolutely right, there is some real gold on there - stuff I thought I would never see again, oh and the Korean Street Fighter clip that is about as insane as it gets.

He should play it. Shows Frig and Fro what they are missing and it is now part of JSS's history. I enjoyed hearing it last night. It's not like Jeff is out there playing a full Journey set. He obviously knows his profile in the states is higher now because of his time with Journey. He has every right to aknowledge that. Besides he only plays 1 and 1/2 songs from them on this tour. Any new fans he's gained in the last year or so that saw Journey would probably expect to hear at least a song or two.

Personally he should do an all Skrapp Mettle / Malmsteen set, but what do I know?

I have a question though. Does he have permission from the band to sing Journey songs? How does that work? Anybody know?

Bands cover other bands songs all the time. Journey used to do a Santana set in the Augeri days. Think those fucks ever called Carlos or Greg Rolie?

I think they're allowed to do it as long as they don't record said songs without permission. Last night's show was fantastic, wasn't it??

WTF???

Postby nutz4Neal » Wed Oct 03, 2007 10:33 am

For whatever the reason, the band decided Jeff wasn't right for them, why do we keep rehasing this same 'ole shit-o-la...Jeff has moved on, good for him. Why can't we do the same?

Because the what/why isn't the issue, the how, however, is at the heart of the matter. The more apropriate question is why can't you see this ethical nightmare the way that most people with solid ethics see it?

Yeah, good thinking guys, Arnel is definately better than Jeff. Jeff is just so boring and the same thing night after night after night.....NOT!!!!!

Two of the biggest dunces in the world. If I were Ross or Dean, I'd hit the road and say it's over....Not worth being a Rib and Wing Contest/Cook off band!!!

People see the same things you see. Most, however realize that this is a rock band. If you don't like them anymore, that's your choice, but the same old shit over and over is sophmoric.

You've devoted a whole website to bashing Journey, but yet you spend all your time here because few bother with your site anymore. That should tell you all you need to know about where people stand. It just isn't a big enough deal for most to get all worked up over.

And who are you to question my ethics? You're post are most unethical.
And furthermore, what do you really know about the how? I think only the band knows.

No such thing as "too masculine". He did a stupendous job! I think that's spelled "Kelty"

He said he doesn't want the job......What are you going to do, change his mind for him......Forget about him. Steve Perry would sound good, as would Steve Augeri, but your not changing their minds either......Go back and wait for BT to open back up. Your posts make about sense as Friga and Fros decisons..

LOL...your second point first. You must have confused me for someone that actually gives a shit. Are you Linda Reardon? LOL...The site's there for people to get the angst out if they desire. The traffic there ebbs and tides...the very NATURE of the site suggests that the site will not get major traffic. Do I care?? Not one fucking bit. It seems the wankers that have no lives beyond Journey's existence, are the only ones that seem to draw attention to this detail! Seriously, TBJF and my actions here make up such a miniscule and insignificant part of my life. Yes, you and the other ex-BT homeless don't make up even a decimal fraction of what I consider important. Sorry to disappoint you... In the ever increasingly wise words of Travis Tritt, "here's a quarter...."

To your first point....Take your opinion on how one should deal with this, and blow it out your, (most likely) extremely large, ass. I chose to address this situation as I see fit. The only people that will agree with you are a few loons...that's about it. Take a poll. You'll lose...

BTW, One final point. If you're going to try to sound off as someone that pushes an IQ beyond 81, I would highly recommend spelling sophomoric properly.
