A "TOAST" to the new singer of Journey

Postby Behshad » Thu Oct 04, 2007 9:03 am

I think I speak on behalf of most of us when I wish Journey good luck.
The announcement is right around the corner and get this, this time the guys have a "before&after" picture, should the need arise for the new guy's dismissal. 'a friend' om mine got this from the Journey website's server ;)

Because JSS' friends think it's badass to talk shit on the internet about a band that couldn't care less if they go to another show or not. But it's fun to declare that they are done with Journey!!! Haven't seen that since Augeri's fans did it on BackTalk after he was let go.

I was laughing at Beshad's interpretation.

Gotcha, but let's face it, this guy isn't a teenager, so he ought to know what he is getting into. No?

I could give two shits about any of them. Let them have a career in Asia with cheap labor if that's what they think they want. They're worthless human beings who care only about their bottom line. Kind of sad really.

JSS is the real deal....he has a great career ahead of him that I will follow.

It has been said that everything happens for a reason..........

If they are going to invest their time and money in the Journey project. It makes sense to at least try to make it profitable. They need to take the traveling jukebox on the road to do that. There's no money in a new CD? Can't begrudge them of that. If you're in real estate or flippin' houses, you don't put time and money into something you know isn't going to payoff.

Youre absolutely correct.
However it's very sad when one of America's most classic rock bands chooses money over what made them who they are , their music!

Yeah, it is. If they could write and record a CD that's go multi-platinum and tour on the strength of it, they'd do it in a second. They can't and they know it. Jeff was not going to make it happen. Perry probably couldn't make it happen. If I was their manager I'd probably advise them to milk the hits.

I'm not one of the contingent here who is waiting for them to make new music.

I'm usually the one responding to the comment "I can't wait for new music," or "I hope Arnel can write," etc., saying "They didn't write new music with JSS, so what makes you think they'll do it with this guy?" Then I get nuked for it. But hey, I have a very thick skin, I can take it.

Speaking of humorous.............

Right on the money. I don't think that CDs are selling that well in general so protecting their legacy is the smart thing to do. Why loose money on an album when tickets are the hot item now.

So making money overrides making new creative music?
