That was a good song Maro, thanks for posting it. Another boy band doing some surprisingly good rock'n'roll/melodic rock are those MMMMBopping Hanson brothers from the 90's. They've released a new CD which you can hear on their website's media player. It's on the top right corner of the page.

Song sounds 'ok'. I thought the boy band thing (a group of guys, or girls... singing lead, and not playing instruments) was over? Maybe some fallout in Germany..

Speaking of Fallout - and boy bands...Anyone listened to 'Fall Out Boy' albums? Great melodic power pop. Definite studio magic going on, but the lead singer is really talented, and there are at least 5 truly awesome tracks per album...Yep. Fallout boy, dig 'em

I guess I should have clarified that the Hanson brothers all play their own instruments, I should not have included them in the boy band definition.

Doesn't matter to me if they're only singing or playing too... I didn't like their old stuff because it was too wimpy, like most of 90's/early 00's boybands stuff... but Take That's comeback album has some really good songs...

6 degrees of Styx story...Last weekend I met and hung out with a band called 'No More Kings' (http://www.sweeptheleg.com) on their stop in Arizona. Not too many people at the show, sadly.... Good band though, sounds alot like Maroon 5...the bass player is Glen Burtnik's (Styx and other great AOR material solo artist)son (Beau). Chatted with him a bit. Cool cat...surprisingly good bass player!

You know what, when I hear Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Boston, Reo Speedwagon, etc. I couldn't help to wonder how comes that those bands were so huge in America, and so little known in Europe in their heyday...
british heavy metal, punk, post punk, dark, new wave, new romantics and electro pop were huge here at that time...

It had something to do with Europe following what was huge in England, while US had it's own musical path.
Even today, european and american charts are very different...
