Read it and weep, I say.

:D

How about, I love "most" of Journey's music?

Can't say all:

"In Self-Defense"
"Every Generation"

etc, etc.

Not just the money stream. Also, and foremost, what they did to Jeff.

As far as Ass and Wipe are concerned, CHARACTER is a four letter word that starts with "F."

I would bet that EVERYONE here still likes the music. It is a couple of the members of the band they don't like. That goes DOUBLE for you Ed! LOL

Its about the music. From '87 - '96 there wasn't any but they came back with some good stuff. If they do it again, I'll tune in. I'm guessing a lot of others will too.

I guess that depends on what you call "a lot". There weren't even "a lot" of people who were interested in Augeri and Arrival and there's been a lot more sewage under the bridge since then to turn people off.

I'm still as much a fan of the music and the Journey that I became a fan of as I ever was. Nothing of that band still exists though. Why should I, or why would anybody, remain a fan of the current band just because it has the legal right to the name Journey? The name isn't what made the Journey what it was and I think Frig and Fro have proven beyond doubt that they're not capable of doing anything that can live up to the legacy of that name.

Why would I want to hear Pineda trying to sound like Perry with Journey when I can listen to Perry with Journey any time I want to?

Why would I pay Journey prices to see Pineda try to sound like Perry when I can see Frontiers do it better? Frig and Fro aren't Journey any more than Frontiers is.

I say scrap 'Journey'. Without the charismatic/soulful SP or JSS as frontmen, the originality of Journey just isn't there anymore IMO. As much as I don't like NS's character, he is immensely talented. And I think 90% of the Journey chemistry lies between SP and NS. Lock those 2 in a Denver hotel room once again and see if a Patiently part 2 comes out of it. No management, no Jon Cain, or anybody else.

Depends on what music you are speaking of. As far as any "live" music, you would lose that bet, and you may count me out.

If you are referring to "new" music, you are slightly delusional; there will be NO new anything with the two who can now be officially considered dinosaurs.

Jeff Scott Soto has it all over these doofi by a mile.

It is not "our" band. Never was. This is the notion that I think too many fans around here have. It is now, Schon and Friga's band. We can choose to follow and be fans or not to. We do not have a say in internal band decisions, nor have we ever had a right to.

It is fine to discuss and gripe about decisions made, but please, let's not start thinking we have any entitlement in the decision making process of this band. If they wish to scan the internet boards for opinions and take them into consideration (which I don't really think they do much), then they can do that. If they want to run this band into the ground, it is their band and they can absolutely do that.

Excuse me, next time I'll say "the band of which we are fans" so no one will think I'm claiming any proprietary rights.

As a matter of fact, several people who are in positions to know say they do read this board, but they obviously don't take our opinions into consideration. Not that I'm saying they should. They should by all means do whatever they want to and live with the results.

Yup, and let the chips fall where they may.....

And may they have enough energy to duck from all the fallout that will ensue...........Or Not!

They deserve whatever comes their way. They've earned it.

....What more can you expect from these Doofi ? PILFM
