Are you implying Drew was spreading rumors?? Just want to be clear.
excellent point! That kinda says it in a nutshell.Saint John wrote:brandonpfn wrote:Saint John wrote:Arnel is not now, nor was he ever, being seriously considered for the band. Absolutely not. What I do think is that Drew, like many others, is believing what Journey says and appears do be doing, when history has shown us that what we "hear" they're doing is never really the case. Remember, Journey also told us that Augeri never used pre-recorded vocals and that they were excited to have Jeff as their new singer and were optimistic about the future. How truthful was that?
They have newspapers over there? so coolEscape Artist wrote:It seems to me if AP really is "the guy" that it would have leaked all over the filipino press by now, you know local boy does good kinda thing?
Just thinking out loud... carry on.

But Journey hasn't said *anything* about Arnel, or anyone, for that matter. The fact that the origin point of the news does not stem from your by-the-numbers Azoff press release, is reason enough to place more stock in it.
Let's be realistic.

Journey couldn't say *anything* about Arnel if they wanted to. He's under contract til the end of the year with MCA, or I suspect we would get that "by-the-numbers" bullshit press release.

Azoff has pulled off huge negotiations with bands that said Never Again!
I'm just sayin.....

People that have inside information are not talking, there is no way that Arnel is the
new front man for Journey, although he does sing beautifully.![]()
Anything is possible as long as people are still alive, and then again even if they are dead=
look at the song Nat. Cole made with her dad and now Lisa Marie has one out with her dad....
I believe anything can happen. Although I would pray that Journey peeps wouldn't wait that long!
*cue the hate from the usual suspects...

It would be nat'l news like everytime Perry shows up anywhere. Probably it would get them in the R & R HOF, but I don't think much of them. St John you save me typing and say things much better !

Saint John wrote:I'll make everyone happy. I'm willing to bet that Steve Perry fronts Journey in 2008, releases a record with them or does his own solo record or song (completely alone). If he does NOT do one of the above I'll leave this board forever AND I'll kiss Monker's bare ass. Fair enough?

Some say this AP stuff is a smokescreen for Perry returning. I hope that's true but REALLY doubt it.
2006 would've been the year to do it. I don't think we'll ever see SP with them again.
