Winds - The Imaginary Direction Of Time. Looking forward to hearing their new one. I've read good things about it.

AOTW is Nightwish 'Dark Passion Play.' ...it'll probably be my AOTW for a long...long while. I've posted a review on the female rock forum.

Good CD. I like it for the most part.

AOTW for me is Circus Maximus - Isotate. I like this one better than their first and damn if I cannot stop thinking that these guys could do a great modern sounding Supertramp cover

Haven't kept up with the Ozzy releases very much... Last one I bought is Ozzmosis, the one before that The Ultimate Sin

Bad Company - S/T is my AOTW. The opening verse of Ready For Love, the title track and The Way I Choose I like especially.

Oh my!! You're going the right way for a smacked bottom!!!

You really should have 'No More tears' and 'Down to earth'.....DTE for 'Junkie' and 'Facing Hell' alone!!

Ooooh, wouldn't want that to happen!

I already figured NMT is one I should have, and I'll check out DTE next time at the record store. Need to fix another omission there... in my pile of Maiden records there's no Piece Of Mind or Number Of The Beast... *bows head in shame*

and so you should

As for Ozzy. I thought DTE was average and Black Rain isn't much better....a few decent songs....a few decent riffs.....a few decent solos.

I bought 'Dark Passion Play' by Nightwish yesterday - gave it a good crank last night and I gotta say I think it's pretty damn good. 'Amaranth' is a fantastic song!

Although I think Tarja may have been a marginally superior singer in technical terms I think her style may have marginalised many people - I think Annette Olzon was a fine choice and she has a little more 'variety' in her voice. Good stuff!!!

Only if Zakk is coming with him though.

Picked up Paramount by Sieges Even. Got a good review here, describing it as warm and varied, so I tried it. And it is; very nice and tasteful.

My AOTW is Pretty Maids "Lethal Heroes." I just found this one in the used bins and it's amazing how many great classic 80's anthems I discovered on this little gem.

AOTW is Northern Kings - Reborn

This is an album of 80's hits that these guys have metalized. Some of them are hilarious, some of them are bad and some of them are great. Broken Wings from Mr Mister is my favorite today.

From the frontpage it looks like you can add another couple of concerts to that list. 8)

I've been going through my collection of the late 80's/early 90's saturation era, and came across Heaven's Edge "S/T" These guys could write some catchy tunes.
