OT: What upcoming concerts are you going to?

Postby AR » Sat Oct 13, 2007 1:27 am

Just in the last week and a half I've gone to see Foreigner, Jeff Scott Soto, and the Melodicrock 10th anniversary. After returning from South Bend, I've already picked up tickets for these shows:

11/1 Van Halen - Washington, DC
11/26 Shaw Blades - Annapolis, MD
1/6 Trans Siberian Orchestra - Baltimore, MD

Anyone else have anything good coming up?

Van Halen (that reminds me...gotta talk to Patrick about that to see if he got us in the President's box)
Sex Pistols at the ROXY- bwahahha pray for me
Bruce at the Hollywood Bowl
Evanescence up in Santa Barbara in November.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few....

Does anyone have a daughter that wanted Hannah Montana tickets? What a joke that turned out to be, hottest ticket in the country? Was blown off Ticketmaster in less than 5 minutes for Atlantic City. Disappointing

We almost did here in CA, but after reading about that I am so glad we changed our mind! I am really glad I didn't mention anything about it.

We are still trying, but the whole thing was such a scam. The tickets (at least here in California) sold out before they ever went on sale to the public. I joined the Hannah Montana fanclub for my daughter just so we could get good seats, but that was a total joke too  I checked for all three venues here in So Cal and in Sacramento for the presale tickets right when they went on sale, but there were only nosebleed seats available for all shows. Those sold out in about two hours. Anyway, I have heard that Ticketmaster is looking into some type of system that the ticket brokers have that holds tickets, or over-rides the priority of the Ticketmaster customer??

I feel bad because Miley Cyrus has a lot of pissed off fans, and Mom's now due to scalper, or management greed. I have noticed that the tickets on the broker websites have come down quite a bit. I hope that they all get stuck with a buttload of tickets!!! Either way, I wish that Disney would call Laura and Cindy @ Fan Asylum, and let them handle the whole fanclub & ticket thing. They are pros!!!

Good luck,

BRUUUUUUUUCE...on Sunday and Monday. Can't fucking wait.

After that, no real rock...it's pretty lean times in the midwest, it seems (and in the States in general).

But I'm seeing Tori Amos, Sia, KT Tunstall, and Over The Rhine in November. I guess I have a soft spot for intelligent chick music too. Or just chicks with guitars.

First of all, I must say THANK YOU GOD that my daughter cannot stand Hannah Montana! I've brainwashed her well, so she likes the music I like!

I have NO concert plans AT ALL. I think I need to get myself a life!

No more shows for me this year. I'm probably going to see Queensryche in Feb & Symphony X in April, though.

:::Whimper::: I'll be leaving Orlando on 10/26 to return home. I'd love to catch Gary playing again sometime. :)

You'll have to give me a full report, Deb, as I and my friend Brandy fell in love with him.

LOL!!! Yeah, great plan :D I actually don't mind Hannah Montana, and some of the other Disney stuff that I have to listen to, WAY too often :) I have been lucky enough for her to like Journey w/Steve Perry and Jeff of course :D She sat front row with me last year, and totally melted down when she didn't get the drumstick

Back to the subject, I just went last week to see Pat Benatar, we are going to see Shaw/Blades show again next month, also the Lights show next month, and I am crossing my fingers for some Ozzy & Rob Zombie tickets

Oh, and I guess Hannah Montana if we get lucky.

Bye-4-Now :D

As of right now, just John Mellencamp on October 27 for me. I'm hoping to catch Rush again if they do end up adding another leg to their Snakes & Arrows tour next year.

You’re really going to enjoy Kansas I saw them Sunday night and they rocked. I have seen them 4 years in a row and this was by far their best performance. They have added an extended reworked version of “Hold On” to the set that is awesome.

The next concert I’m going to see is The Doobie Brothers on the 24th. I’ve been waiting forever for them to come to Houston, I can’t wait.

I heard that they also have been including a couple of my favorite tracks from "In the Spirit of Things" (Ghosts and Rainmaker) as well as a couple tunes from "Freaks of Nature" to the set list as well.

Did you see the unforsaken amount they want for the tickets? Ebay even makes my butt pucker. Told my dd we would have to rent a big screen and watch the DVD on that to get the concert feel

My brother tried getting Hannah Montana tickets for his daughter here in Michigan and they sold out in less than a minute. Unreal.

Second the motion! I am totally turned off by the whole "outrageousness" of the ticket costs. Joined the Fan Club too to get access and was denied. I have the charge in dispute right now because it won't allow me access to anything on her site but my c/c sure was charged. Of course, no response from Tech Support, either!
