Message of Love Ringtone?

Postby tj » Wed Oct 10, 2007 4:21 pm

Anyone know where I can get a ringtone with Message of Love? Particularly wanting the vocals of "Baby can you hear me? Can you hear me calling?".

Also, what is the backwards part at the beginning of the song? I recall many years ago reading something from Kevin Shirley about it being a song from a previous Journey album, but he wouldn't say which one.

Finally, here is a pretty good JSS version from the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Fl last year.

It is my ring tone on my phone for about the past couple of weeks (it was Styx Castle Walls solo, for the longest time). But I have the intro up to were the music actually kicks in. Also have Seperate ways keyboard intro with the outtro key vocal as ring tone at times-ERIC

you can make your own with http://www.ringjone.com/. as long as you have the mp3 file you just upload it and decide what parts of the song to use, and then send it to your phone

Have you used mobile17.com? If so, any problems with spam to either your email or your cell phone? Any unwanted text messages, etc.? I'm wary of giving out that kind of info to a free service.

Thoughts?

I've used it. SO FAR no problems.
It takes about an hour before you receive your tone though (unless you donate).
If you use the standard (free) method, you get put in "line" to receive your tone. The more people using the service at the time you submit, the longer you wait. It worked with my phone though, which it had warned me it might not. I was also able to get away with more than 10 seconds of audio, which it also told me might be a problem, so overall, Mobile17 worked pretty well!!

Better than another site I was trying to use, which would have made awesome tones, except I never received them.

I use Magix's Audio Cleaning LAb, edit and splice the parts I want, save as an mp3, then connect my phone to the USB port and with 1 minute it is on my phone-ERIC

It's the phrase "message of love"....backwards.

Somebody had a link here a long time ago - played the backwards thing "backwards"....pretty cool (a year ago, I think :?)....I tried to do a Forum Search for it....got a whole bunch-a nothin'. :x

Meh - I thought Steve was singing:

"Callin'...callin'....callin'....tears fallin'..."

How about a JRNY-SUX ring tone?
Don't we all hate these losers for what they did to JSS?
Why do we want their noise on our phones?

I mean, get off the f'ing fence. Are we for or against?

The only Journey ringtones that are on my phone include "The Voice". And that Journey, in my opinion, is a legacy.

I've got this on mp3. I numbered it as 00 so it plays before Message of Love (01).

I'll have a little time next week (after the 15th) that I could work on setting up a link.

If anyone can tell me the easiest way to do it, that'd be great. ClassicRockLady?

What am I saying, she'll probably have it up tomorrow!

What I found useful was http://www.makeownringtone.com
It doesn't require registration.

I never thought of that song. I just made it into a ringtone for my phone. :D
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.
