Hey all,

Not just trying to give a shameless plug, but I write a lot of music and would like to hear some opinions on it. I'm open to constructive criticism. I write stuff that's very melodic, as well as slower ballad stuff (I am a keyboardist and all!). I'm involved in a recording project overseas that should see the light of day soon. I wish I could play you that stuff, but for the time being I must keep a lid on it. A couple of people in the project have released very sucessful albums this past year (which have both received rave reviews), so I'm very excited about it!!!

Anyway, if you're a melodic rock fan, go to www.myspace.com/jimrykbost and check out "Rumor's out". Let me know what you think! Take care,

Jim

Thanks! I think Alex (the vocalist) sounds somewhat similar to Don Dokken at times. He's working on recording vocals on a few of my ballads as well. He should have some of it done next week, and once he does, I'll update the page!

I've just decided to post one of my original songs with Jeremey H. on vocals. I should have it up there within the next 1/2 hour...Stay tuned!

Hey Jim, considering some of the vitriol around me the past few weeks here, why not hold off on posting that tune? I'm sure there are many just waiting for another reason to rip into me.

I've already uploaded the song, but I'll go in there and remove it. It hasn't been posted yet anyway. Sorry folks...

Thanks. I don't think I've ever heard the end result of that one, and I surely don't need anymore blood in the water around here considering a few of the folks who make jabbing at me a nice sideline occupation. Hope you and the family are doing well!

Send me the link via PM and I know a place where it can be heard objectively in private.

Sorry AR! I will grant Jeremey's request on the song. I don't want to stir anything up, just thought you guys might like to hear some new melodic rock. This board's been pretty damn boring lately (No offense to you Andrew), but I thought you all might like some of the tunes to ease the lack of any news from Journey.

I've already deleted it from my page, but you know how it works...sometimes it takes a while for your changes to take place. When I deleted it, it was still showing the other song I deleted. I think you would all like the song, but I guess it'll wait for a rainy day...

I would have no problem with a private audience for the song, Jim, if you wanted to send Ed the link. I just don't recall hearing the final version of that & you know how that can go sometimes...

It's the version of "Long night" with Juhani on guitars. The version is as it was when you emailed it to me. I could email it to you for you to preview if you'd like.

No problem - I'm at work so can't check emails here, I thought it was the one we recorded down in Columbia in that studio. No qualms about sending Ed the link for that one...Thanks!

Send me a PM whenever you want - I'm typically changing diapers or rocking the baby to sleep when I get home, but here in the office on Fridays I snoop around here a bit between finishing up reports...
