He is talking from his perspective, not casting blame, not criticizing anyone. Musicians do this sort of thing all the time. I can understand where you'd think this might be harmful to Jeremey. But on the flip side of it, perhaps there are folks out there who are as disgusted with Journey's antics as we are, and thus respect him all the more for his principles. It could go either way, or it could remain exactly the same. IDK.

It's Jeremey's call, whether he wants to continue the blog or not. Either way, I will support him, because I don't think he's writing it out of malice.

Donna - I don't think he's writing it out of malice either. I agree that he thinks he's doing the right, positive thing.

But in hindsight I think Jeremey was right when he said a couple of months back that he had decided against the blog because he didn't want to drag other people into a story which would end up being argued over on every Journey messageboard. He didn't want to disclose too much inside information out of respect to Journey who treated him very well. Nor did he want his family to get dragged into any controversy. I was encouraging him to go ahead but this reasoning seemed pretty concvincing to me and it seemed like he was taking the high road in much the same way as JSS has.

So anyway a few weeks go by and I need a break from the relentless whining that dominates almost every thread now...and I come back and see Jeremey discussing his wife online to all kinds of people he has never even met ...revealing specific details about his time in California where he went at Journey's expense...portraying himself as Family Values Guy and simultaneously fanning the flames here by implying that Journey are Anti-Family....and completely losing his cool and becoming abusive toward Journey fans like Fyre...and so on.

And I'm thinking...what happened to that discreet, dignified guy I was taking to a couple of months ago?

Matthew, I sort of understand what you are saying. However, this is why fans ruin things when someone connected tries to share anything.

It's also the reason why The Annex is a private site.

Sabrina didn't deserve this shit from nolippin. It's fucked up. J isn't giving you the entire story either. I wish he would so any Frig and Fro apologists would know what total jerks they are.

lol, I agree.

"The best revenge is a life well lived"

I don't know who said that, but it fits.

Take a page from JSS, lol

No one deserves to skewer Journey more than him, lol but instead of wasting another second on those idiots,
he moved on incredibly fast, taking many of us who had never heard of him before along the ride with him.
Look at his thread, lol, it's mostly Journey fans!!! I can't think of a better FU than that!

nolippin has definitely been out of line- Opinion is one thing, but what I really don't get is the shear venom toward people he/she doesn't even know- That really is fucked up

I wish that were true. Many employers even big corps, don't let you know. They just don't call you back. Sometimes if you call them, they say the position was filled or they give you the run around. Some do send a letter months later, all depends on their policies. What Journey did is not unusual in terms of employment at all.

In addition, some employers do not notify your position has been terminated. Instead, you become aware from second and third hand people. Now this is PROFESSIONAL.

Jeff put his career on hold for these assholes and bailed them out of cancelling the Leppard tour. A phone call was the least they could do. Maybe when I get canned from my job, Azoff can have Kevin Cronin tell me.

If more people lived by that simple, basic truth this country wouldn't be in the mess it's in now.

wow- HONESTLY- I can see why Journey would be concerned. I've been in bands with wives that've made things tough if not impossible. However, Journey is entitled to voice anything they want if they're hiring someone. And Jeremey has the responsibility to tell them to F' off if he wishes. I think Jeremey made the right decision here for more reasons than one. Journey is not a 'family' atmosphere and even though they're big business, these guys are not in their 20s anymore and neither are their prospective singers. To make a band your number one priority is okay for a guy without a family in his 20s, but at an older age, most guys have settled down and are having families. For Journey to expect Jeremey to behave like some really young "it's 100% the band or nothing" is just ridiculous. We've seen how family-oriented Neal has been, yikes! Cain seems have made it work, but you KNOW that those wives are also "bending the ear" of these two guys too. I know a lot of people liked Augeri's wife and that's obviously who they're speaking of.

The Journey organization needs to grow up and realize that they're not in their teens anymore. I guess they need to hire a single guy who's not looking for a family.

Good job Jeremey. That had to be really hard to almost get that gig and walk away, but you so did the right thing man.

So with all this kind of exposure to the business, why are you not shopping yourself as an original artist? You've written stuff that I've heard, so you're obviously capable. Why are you not shopping yourself as an original artist and working on your own terms? You should. (I mean this in the most complimentary way, btw.)
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

You put personal information on the internet, and someone is going to use it against you. This thread is living proof of why you should be very anonymous other than your username.

And only one person is to blame if they post their own personal info.

to a more recent singer who the band felt had his ear bended by his wife too many times.

Wife: Neal, you're destroying my husband's voice.
Singer: Neal, we should slow down a bit.
Neal: Shut up. Do you know who I am? Do you want a paycheck?

Me seems to thinks Jeremey decided to do the blog after some clown started posting
crap here.(response to someone a few posts down)

But I've been gone so long again...enjoying the reading..trying to catch up- talk of SP coming back, etc. Maybe Neal ended up calling mommy(SP) after he realized he screwed up once again. I'll think about it Neal. I still have the keys....let's see.....

Jeremey, thanks for the new blog segment on the 9th (I just saw it). I enjoyed reading the story, and am looking forward to you talking more about singing with them at the warehouse.
