Maybe this is Arnel's "audition" concert?

It just blows me away. Arnel is inferior in all aspects to Jeff and Jeremey in my opinion.

I say again, with great respect....the Arnel debate has been done. Move on...
I want JSS fronting the band, it could still be possible perhaps one day (but not likely!)...but we all have to move on.

WHO WILL BE SINGING FOR JOURNEY IN CHILE IN 2008????

The picture on the foreign news article that Andrew posted shows Augeri:

This article is not my source. Unfortunate choice of picture, but as we know, there are no official 2008 pictures of Journey at this stage.

I will abide by your rules Andrew, but I think it will be hard to stop people from criticizing Journey's decision to hire a third Steve Perry replacement. What if the Rolling Stones replaced Mick Jagger? Would you be able to stop fans from criticizing the band's decision?

Perhaps what our fearless leader is suggesting is that we wait until he actually does something with Journey for us to debate before we just rehash our disdain for him and the situation. It's gonna be tough, but we'll try it, boss!!!! 8)

I have no problem with debate and continued criticism if that's how people feel. This board is for you to have your say.
My point is that not every thread has to be dominated with such debate.

Some topics are factual news related items and it would be good to see some degree of "on topic" discussion in those threads.
There are plenty of open and separate threads criticising Arnel and Journey and those remain open for that debate.

I hope that clarifies my position.

Found another announcement of this concert. No mention of AP that I saw. One paragrpah lists some of the DD hits.

But the low singer, which was justified as an allergic reaction and fever soon worsen, ending again in what has been one of the largest but the group: The impossibility of having a vocalist stable. The replacement thereafter, Jeff Scott Soto, nor would last much, so now come with the virtually unknown Arnel Pineda.

Definitely, his visit sounded much better in 2006.

Agreed.
Been saying the same since the day I heard JSS was out.

It's drowned out amidst the din of the Journey crucifixion but still.

Too far away, darn it. I wish that Journey would hold a contest for 50 Journey fans to be flown and attend the concert. Great goodwill gesture. Ok Neal, make it 10!

I don't know about that statement. I think Kansas is much more relevant than Journey is at this point. Maybe Kansas will be kind enough to let Journey open for them during their 2008 county fair tour.

Isn't this the same Chile gig they cancelled in 2006?

That's exactly what I thought.

Postby STORY_TELLER » Tue Nov 06, 2007 6:07 am

Any word on if they've recorded new songs with Arnel and/or will be debuting them at this show? Or is it just another greatest hits show?
