I just can't wait for A-rod to join the Dead Sox.

That loser deserves to be on a team with Curt Shilling. Boston will never win another world championship as long as that fuckwad is poluting the infield.

and the Yankees will be free to win another 26, with that poisonous piece of shit out of the bronx.

 Yeah, they've only just won two titles in four years with him on the staff.

No, I kinda think Franko was saying Schilling is a tool but Rodriguez is the carcinogenic, postseason choke-causing curse.

This sums up the intolerability of the overhyping, oversaturation of the BoSox (probably due the annoying influx of Boston media types into national outlets):

2006, MVP Ryan Howard is putting on an absolutely unPRECEDENTED display in the homerun derby in Pittsburgh, balls just soaring into the Ohio or Monongehella or Susquehanna River left, right, and center yet 4 out every 6 shots are of that toad, out in the first round non-fielding grandstander David Ortiz being intervied, sitting around, laughing, piking his nose??????

Who CARES?

I agree on Schilling but Ortiz is an all-around good guy.

Not what I meant. I think Shilling is a fuckwad....every time he opens his mouth to the media, he says something regretable. It's also evidenced by the fact that he and his wife have alienated friends on every team he's pitched for, going back to the Phillies.

But the guy can fucking pitch...and he's certainly contributed to those 2 world championships (with some condiment packages to aide in the flair)...

What I'm talking about is the fact that A-Rod is really clubhouse poison, in every way known to man. I'm a lifelong Yankee fan....but to tell you the truth, when the whole NY press went 'Ga Ga' over the acquisition of A-Rod a few years back....My first thought was "There go the Yankees, right down the shitter...it will be until at least, 2008, before they ever have a chance again"

Because I feel that A-Rod touches a team with failure, the minute he becomes part of the team.

The Yankees are littered with 'losers' right now. There's a handful of guys that are on the team, that due to solely their presence, they prevent the team from winning. Mike Mussina is one of them. He's clubhouse cancer. Same goes for Jason Giambi....and A-Rod was the biggest one.

I've maintained since 2002, that until Mussina and Giambi were off the team, the Yankees would never win a WS, despite the fact that they had been IN the world series the previous 5 of 6 WS championships.

When A-Rod came over, he was literally, the harbinger of doom for me. The guy is a classless piece of shit. When he slapped the ball out of Bronson Aroyo's hand a few years back, it was simply a confirmation of what I felt.

If the Red Sox actually lose Lowell to free agency just to pick up A-Rod, they would be pushing themselves down the very greedy hole that Massholes have been criticizing the Yankees for, for decades....and they would pay dearly for it. Because with Arod poluting the infield in Boston...it would return the team to a legacy of Losing for quite some time.

Enjoy A-Rod...he's going to ruin this short lived period of winning for a very LONG time.

(assuming of course, the Red Sox sign him)

Id be very surprised, if the Red Sox sign A Rod. A few days back the various news outlets had announced that A Rod's number one choice for a new team is Boston. I know that myself as well as half of Red Sox nation that take part on the official forum practically had a heart attack. Mike Lowell was the heart of the Red Sox last season, I think they will make a serious offer to aquire his services again.

I would far more expect A Rod to go with Torre to the Dodgers. If they can get A Rod and Santana, the Dodgers might be set for a little while.

Agreed. He is a publicity seeking idiot.

Schilling is an idiot but I think it was real blood. To quote Schilling..."“If you have ... the guts, grab an orthopedic surgeon, have them suture your ankle skin down to the tissue covering the bone in your ankle joint, then walk around for 4 hours,” Schilling wrote on his Web site www.38pitches.com. “After that go find a mound, throw a hundred or so pitches, run over, cover first a few times. When you’re done check that ankle and see if it bleeds.”

What I'm talking about is the fact that A-Rod is really clubhouse poison, in every way known to man...

I REALLY hope they keep Lowell. He may not be quite the hitter that Rodriguez is but he's a much better fielder, clubhouse guy, and general overall good person.

There's a reason he said that. He (and moreso, his agent) knows that the Red Sox can bear the weight of the monstrous salary that Boras is likely to ask for A-Rod, even with the Yankees *not* getting into the frenzy. I suspect, given the agressive nature of the way Boras negotiates salary, that the Dodgers might not be able to handle a salary like that. They think that Boston is the one place outside of NY that can handle it...and you will see Boras and A-Rod get REALLY sweet with Boston in the coming months.

As far as whether they'd bite. I dunno. I dont know Boston's organizational structure enough to know whether or not they would bite at A-Rod.

I can tell you this, and you might be able to confirm this....Boston's view on A-rod is drastically different now. When A-Rod first signed with the yankees, He and Boras played some games with Boston...and Boston fans were livid at the fact that they lost A-rod to the yankees. I suspect most Boston fans over the years have felt a sense of relief seeing what A-Rod did to NY. However, at the outset, they were PISSED. And it was exemplified in the A-Rod hatred that came out of Boston, before Arod took his first swing in a Yankee uniform.

So I suspect, if Boston does take A-Rod, they will have to do some serious public relations work, to get red sox nation to be OK with it.

I still maintain that if this ever does happen, it will be the end of whatever 'dynasty' the Red Sox have developed over the past few years.

Boston most def. hates A Rod after we got screwed over last time. Not only that, but as you said we saw what A Rod was really worth when he took the New York Yankees down the shitter. There would be riots on Yawkey way if the Red Sox sign A Rod. Fans just wouldn't have it. I don't know how the organization would overcome that PR-wise.

Yeah...AROD is the reason the Yankees didn't win the championship! Listen, I hate AROD...I think the guy pollutes a clubhouse. That said, he wasn't the problem for the Yankees! They have zero pitching, and the guys they do have are too damn old! Signing Clemens was moronic, and the Yankees got what they deserved! As far as you being excited about the Red Sox signing AROD...You'll be waiting a VERY long time, because it simply isn't going to happen!
