Does anyone know if Mickey was ever approached about auditioning for Journey. I've been listening to some promo clips on his site and he still sounds great. I think he would be a good fit and it would be cool if they would do the song Jane in the set. Also, is there anyway out there who knows SA and knows when Tall Stories II or his solo release will be available. I wish SA would at least drop a line and give us an update.

I agree I really want to hear some new stuff from Augeri. Unfortunately, the more time goes by without hearing from him, the more I think we may not hear anything new at all. ever. Maybe Journey trashed his voice so much that even though he can sing, he doesnt think its true to what he sounded like previously, and he doesnt want to do it anymore out of embarassment. I know for one if he came anywhere close to my town on tour, I would go out and support him. Hes a great guy, and a pretty good singer.

<------ SA, don't make me have to invent the WiggleSignal...

Steve A... speak up! Where are you man?
We're worried. One mystery Steve is enough. Don't you do it too.
Just pop up and say howdy or something. :D

My band had the good fortune of opening for Starship several years ago, and I actually asked Mickey about it. He personally told me YES, he was approached, but Starship was at there peak and he didn't want to leave.

I once read that Mickey Thomas had a 4 1/2 octave range. He's a pretty strong personality, I wonder how that would have gone over with the other personalities in the band

I think Mickey's happy touring as Starship, but that's just me. I'm sure he would be great with Journey, but not sure if he was ever interested.

I said last year that I doubt we ever hear from Augeri again - Tall Stories or Solo.

I stand by that still.

Yes, as for the strong personality, rumour is that it is a large temper streak.

He has several exwives like Neal Schon and gets a guarnteed amount per show. Him and Neal should get together to combine efforts in supporting ex's.

Mickey Thomas bagged out of the Brad Delp memorial concert. Would have liked to have heard what he could do on some of Boston's songs.

I know I hate some of his Starship songs. They are some of the worst schlock ever.
