Which Reunion Concert Would Sell More Tickets?

Postby Voyager » Sun Nov 11, 2007 6:47 am

I want to know which of these bands do you think would sell the most concert tickets? I realize that this is a Journey forum, so there may be some bias.

VH already won.

When the first ticket was sold since SP will NEVER sing with the J band again.

But hypothetically? Of course J would win. No question about it. Doesn't even need a poll for that but hey, my votes in.

I like the poll, but can't help but think it's a bit of a loaded question being the "Journey" -related forum

Good point, but pointless to discuss in a VH forum since this won't happen anyway.

The reason I posted the poll was because someone told me that concert promoters would be more interested in a Van Halen/DLR reunion than they would a Journey/SP reunion.

You were lied to or someone had their facts misconstrued. Styx and VH combined wouldn't outsell Journey with Perry at the helm.

Speaking for myself, I would travel most anywhere and spend an obscene amount of money to see an SP-fronted Journey. My two cents!!!

I totally agree.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Sorry to say, but I think VH w/ Wolfie would still beat a Perry-led Journey.
VH w/ Mad Mike would even sell more. Don't knwo why I feel that but I just do...

Maybe its because Perry has been away so long, the band has been out
on tour every year with people "still" thinking Perry is in the band.
Perry coming back to Journey doesn't really make for such a HUGE
media splash as DLR w/ Vh again or, better yet,

"Axl and Slash kiss and make-up! Original G&R set to embark on World Tour!"

Even that kind of "never happen" scenario would sell better than Perry coming back to Journey.

No matter the cost of the ticket or how far away it was from my home, I would find a way to go see an SP/Journey Reunion concert!!! There is NO way I could ever pass up an opportunity to see something as SPECIAL as that ,if it were to happen. :D
