Post number has ZERO to do with how good of a member someone is. In many cases, it more refers to people that have nothing better to do or no lives. There's plenty of posters out there with low numbers that have had very quality posts, but they keep out of the spotlight in fear of getting a verbal beatdown from some of the "elite" posters. Personally, I'd rather have quality posts and good debate/discussions from posters than have to read #@!@#^$ from people who have xillion posts and nothing to say.

And YES... the racist type posts will stop. I don't care if you're the baiter or the responder, it ALL looks bad to the general reader and in turn reflects on this site and owner. I don't care if you thought your remark or post was funny or not. There is a CLEAR line between someone trying to be humorous and someone who's posting blatent derrogatory remarks towards a race or culture, and then TRYING to hide behind the "humor" defense.

This forum is loaded full of good people, but there's also a few turds in the punchbowl.....

Right. Like the amount of posts one has under their belt has anything to do with the truth of a solitary individual statement.

I think the point was that there are quite a few newer folks or long-time members that only post when this kinda stuff comes up or they wait to drop some "bait" into a thread every now and again. Having few posts doesn't destroy one's credibilty; having only a few posts and all of them being "bait" and holier-than-thou comments, THAT destroys credibility.

Drew runs an excellent Asylum. He knows when to give and he knows when to take.
But he's always fair.

What does an opinion have to do with credibility? How is a one time statement of fact any less credible be it your first post or post number ten thousand? Because you haven't been around long enough to become a "buddy" first, mean's your statement doesn't hold water? That makes it lack credibility? Sorry, that's nonsense. The only way someone can lack credibility is if they pretend they are someone they're not to support their own argument. (ie. if I were to make up a different screen name, then pop in here and say "yeah! Storyteller's right and you're stupid.") THAT would make someone lack credibility, so if that's your point, then it would make sense.

Additionally, those who aren't commenting until Andrew says something most likely don't want to bother arguing endlessly in circles with someone who doesn't even see their own comments as being harmful. Someone who's that angry, that short sighted, well, nothing you say will change their mind or stop their actions, so why bother? I have better things to do with my time. It takes someone in a position of power (ie. Andrew), to make them stop.

SO when Andrew pipes in and calls a spade a spade, I will in fact echo my support for his actions to show him there are others who are like minded, regardless of how many posts I have under my belt.
