I saw them in Chicago last year and it was a pretty good show. I wish they would have played more songs as they were written instead of making every song a medley or adding stuff to it. For example, in "Bad Medicine" where the song slows down, they broke into a version of "Shout". Or, there were a number of songs where they would stop the song and do a little skit or tell a story. The crowd LOVED it, for the most part but, it wasn't really my cup of tea.
I paid something like $65 US for the cheapest seats available. And they were sec. 400, waaaayyyy in the upper deck of Soldier Field and I thought that pricing was outrageous. If it weren't for the video screens we couldn't have seen anything. The best seats were closer and in the $150 range.
I remember back 20 years ago when they were touring Slippery When Wet and they came to Milwaukee. The best seats were like $20 and the upper deck seats were $12 or so. I realize that times have changed but, they are charging way, way, to much. I'm sure they'll sell the place out but, at what cost? Alienating the fanbase? Perhaps this is something they don't care much about...
