I'd rather that than a cover album.

I agree. Cover albums are for fucking has beens. Stay retired, let Journey tour, and enjoy your life. Great sendoff you had for yourself and fans. Can't wait for that annual interview.

How many of these does he have to do before people realize they're screened and we hear virtually the same answers in slightly different question forms? It's like Groundhog's Day.

I guess I'm a glass is half-full kinda gal. I was always just happy and grateful he bothers to do any Q&As. He doesn't have to. Would I like it if he did a new one? Yes, if he had something to say, but not if he's just living life and not working on anything for us to listen to.

I would like to know if he's been in a studio working lately.
I would like to know if he's been writing with anyone, and has he been shopping for anyone to do music with him.

If I don't find out anything, that's cool too. Life keeps on going, whether or not Steve makes music or does a Q&A. But dang I'd like it if he would!

The fact is, Perry will return to the studio if he stops attending the alcoholic anonymous and meetings out there. For crying out loud PERRY, you've been sober for the past 18 years, give it a rest. You're freaking 60 years old, your fans are waiting and dying to hear from you.

Why don't YOU give it a fucking rest? It's people like you who come in here under the cozy blanket of anonymity, spewing shitty remarks like that one that makes Perry stay away from his fanbase.
What the hell do you know about him or his personal life? And who the FUCK are you to judge what he's doing?

SJ, you and some others here are such hypocrits. You say you would only be interested in hearing from Perry in a Q&A if he would come back to Journey, but if he doesn't give you want you want , you don't want to hear from him. Others were complaining about the Q&A being boring , but yet they sure make the time to read them, huh.

IF Perry were to ever come here and read the remarks that you and some others made, I highly doubt it would encourage him to want to perform for "so called fans" like yourself , if anything it would probaly make him want to stay away from performing.

As for Hots question to Lora on that other thread, there wasn't anything wrong with the question, after all it had to do with Fan Asylum, but Lora's response was not that nice, all she had to do was say she didn't know or not respond at all, if she didn't want to answer the question. It's just that simple. And no need to go off on Hots that way either.

First of all, I don't give a shit about Perry's personal life. I only care about Steve Perry the artist. Unlike you, if I found out where he hung out or what Starbucks he went to I wouldn't be on the first plane to go and stalk him. The guy could be camping in my back yard and I wouldn't give a shit. I don't care about his favorite color or any other of his personal preferences. As for his Q&A's, in or out of Journey I have no need to know personal information. "Real" fans quickly scour through them to see if he's coming back to Journey or plans on performing or releasing new music. Anything else is of no interest to me. I'm just a fan of Steve Perry the artist.

Just imagine how popular THAT would be on youtube.    The culmination being me led away in handcuffs as Perry handed me Lee Phillips' business card muttering "You'll be hearing from this guy soon, asshole."

I fail to see what one has to do with the other. You can't quit AA, if you're an alcoholic, you'll always be one. It never goes away. Thus, you need that constant support.
