Thank you for 8 or so years of Journey concerts man.

I am so sorry I piled on. You had a fucking thankless job and handled it incredibly well.

I am embarassed that I piled on, you did not deserve that crap.

Sorry beyond words.

Many of us buy Journey music and post on a Journey online forum to pacify our passion for Journey's music. Steve Augeri took his passion for Journey music to a whole different level and gave it everything he had. He should definitely be commended for his efforts. You're right, he took a lot of undeserved flack for doing what he did. No wonder he has gone into hiding.

Ed,I feel the same way.I mentioned this in another thread and got piled on by the resident Dean for doing this saying Steve was still guilty.He was only doing what the Corporation told him to do.And I apologized if I had said anything out of the way to this man.But this is old news isn't it? All I really wanted to do was apologize to the man because I was told by a close friend of his he was a class A guy.Nuff said

I was a big fan of Steve A. Still am in many ways. Thought he did a great job.

Dean educated me in what happened. Period. He was right.

With all due respect, Sandy (and you know I luv ya!!! :wink:

), we don't know who did what and why. We don't know whose idea it was, and who made the ultimate decision to proceed with the farce. While I agree some things were said that were mean and spiteful, let's not forget that there were 5 band members and a whole lot of management/support personnel involved in this thing. Steve is still guilty. It's just a little easier to forgive now that we know what jerkwads some of the others are. Even then, I think we knew. We were just able to look over it because we liked the band with JSS so much, and wanted to support him. Many of us can't do that anymore.

With that said, I think it's great that you guys are willing to support him in whatever he chooses to do next, even the red leather pants......

ED, I'm with you 100% I do hope Steve Augeri returns to the music business someday. What I fear has happened to him is all the shit that went down has him as damaged goods right now and can't get anything going for himself . Hopefully that will change because I hope to vote with my wallet when he does re-emerge. It's a shame that he's the one taking the major fall for this when so many were involved.......

Come on Ed.... No need to apologize to him. I know that he wasnt AS guilty as Neal,,, and I know that this has been discussed a thousand times before,,,, but I just dont think that someone that just does what he did, didnt have any other choices. You can not tell me that he couldnt support his family on money he earned the last 8 years. You can not tell me that GAP wouldnt hire him back ,,,, You have hung out with JSS yourself and you know that he would starve before he would do anything like that. What Augeri did was more than just doing what he had to,,, he was dishonest to his fans... I know it was Neal&Co behind the whole thing, but Augeri always had once other choice,, to quit!!

And I know Deano has shed some light on this for us,, but even Dean goes back and forth on this,,,, He was pissed at Neal at 1st cause of JSS situation,,, then he said "well it wasnt all Neal's fault,,, I talked to him and he is really innocent through all this".....
And here's what he said few days ago regarding SA :
