Which Concert Lineup Would You Rather See?

Postby Voyager » Tue Nov 20, 2007 5:14 pm

I realize that this is just my imagination running wild, but which of these lineups would you prefer to see if you had the chance to see only one or the other?

Dude you could have put Perry with Lerch playing the harpsichord and that's what I would have picked.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

You realize that throwing Steve Perry's name into that poll made the first option useless? You have a good imagination,tho...

I wanted to make it a realistic possible lineup. I'd bet all of them would do it if Perry would go for it. It would be awesome to see him onstage with Randy, Gregg, and Steve... and Josh is about as close to Neal as you can get (he even sports a fro).

Maybe I should have made the second option Steve Perry with a karaoke machine to make it harder to choose?

I'd still choose Perry.

Pseudo Journey versus The Voice & Smitty?

Let's try a poll with JSS fronting J band and the Perry lineup you have above.

THAT will be a contest.

Not really. You would likely find JSS watching the show with Steve Perry rather than performing on that night anyhoo!

How about the JSSB opening for the Perry lineup? Best of both worlds!!!! 8)

Seriously, wouldn't it be great to see SP get behind JSS, with some promotional stuff? I understand he likes to help other performers out (Guff, David Pack, etc.). How about a JSS/SP collaboration? Cyndy... work on the dude for us!!

Even I would take the Perry lineup without Neal just cuz I've seen Neal so much over the past few years and haven't seen Perry live since 1986. And Ramos is no slouch.

As would I...barely. Problem with those two lineups is that only one of the singers mentioned wants to and/or can sing. :(

Having never seen Perry live, I'd take #2. All things being equal, though, I'd take the first one.

Well, there really isn't any contest there...... Perry wins everytime, no matter who he's with. And yes, Lurch included!
"as long as they have to carry DSB as their banner, it looks like Perry will be right there with them as an overseer, ready to wield his veto power on all things Classic Journey." As quoted by Don on 12/7/2010

True story.

You gave me Perry and Smith... that was all I needed.
Pluss you gave me an option that did not include the Frig, but did include Rolie.
Option 1 never stood a chance.

I've said this before... I would rather see Perry w/ Arnel's band than this so called Journey line up.

I'd of course have to choose Perry. If u put his name into any choice, there's just no contest. Plus I never saw him live w/Journey.

I'd rather see Perry sitting on his ass in his living room eating a bag of Cheetos and not making a motherfucking PEEP than this so called Journey line up.

You can't just choose whether you'd rather see Perry or Schon.

Then again, OI have seen Neal Schon play (he was awesomely epic) and I've met him. So I'd go for Perry's line-up, since I also love Gregg Rolie to pieces. It's an unfair poll though. :P

Ok that's funny but seriously, even as much of a loon as I am, if those are my choices, I'll go see Journey w/any lead singer. Live music wins hands down.

Now if Perry was doing more than eating Cheetos, the voyeur in me might decide differently.
