Not everyone, I keep towing the same line (though I am admittedly gritting my teeth through the Pineda noise).

wow, this is weird. People are actually sticking up for Augeri. What the heck happened?
'Bout time.

Hey, I know I'm a semi regular here, but all of you have a great Thanksgiving!

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

With all due respect.... Steve still gets a smack from me for his choice. Ultimately, he still had a choice. What was asked of him (and they had to know) was truly unacceptable. Ethics. Simple Ethics. Steve made a choice to compromise integrity when he said OK. I would have had all the respect in the world if they'd cancelled... but the lies put out by all of them make the whole mess unacceptable. All are to blame, and equally. Ultimately, Steve still could have said NO. He didn't. I only ignored the debacle because Jeff was so frickin good. Now they've tanked Jeff and hired a lounge singer. PASS.

Enough of tapegate already. Will Steve come out with more music? Maybe. Will I buy it? Depends. I liked what he did with Tall Stories. I liked Remember Me. The rest.... meh. He'd have to pull some major miracles at this point. He still fucked up as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, you've got enough posts to qualify for a regular.

I think people are sticking up for Augeri because of the way Journey treated JSS. They now see that maybe there was some villainous shit going on behind the scenes. As far as I'm concerned though, there's two sides to every argument. I'm not going to castrate anyone over the Augeri deal. I just don't know enough.

I'm not pissed at Augeri at all. I'd go see him on tour and buy his CD. Bring it on.

Yes, who GIVES an F?

The outrage over this band's manueverings is a little overwraught to put it mildly.

Lurking....

It's safe that way. I don't have to worry about getting slammed 'cuz I like all versions of Journey if I hide in the shadows. The conflict around here was a little too much for me.

True. They're a band running their business as they see fit. We all take it a little too personally. Does this happen w/other bands or is it just b/c Journey wrote the soundtrack of our lives?

Hold on there, Colnel.

You were running people over on your way to grab a pitchfork and molotov cocktail when JSS got 86ed.

Fuckin Frank changed my signon to AssMuch over at his place when I disabled myself there and had to get back in.

OH,ya..hmm SA should have just quit..That's rich.. Your making a million a year and you have the likes of Neal Schon and Jon Cain, who you looked up to half your life, telling you what you need to do..And this guy is living this dream and your just going to say to yourself, this isn't right,I'm gonna just quit ! LMAO! That's the most intelligent thing I've heard in a long time.. Hell, the guy was probably intimidated and scared sh*tless by the rest of the band.. He did what he had to in the situation he was in,probably hoping no one would find out.. Of course he knew what was going on..You can feel your throat when you sing and I'm pretty sure he knew he wasn't up to par and could hear how good it was coming out of the speakers..Either that or they were all briefed before the show.. Anyone not in his position at the time should just STFU ,cause you have no idea what your talking about..

It's easy to overlook Neal's shortcomings as a human being when all you want to do is give his taint the old cow tongue action.

Ethics..lol.. Do everybody a favor..Get into Journey as lead singer..Then have some questionable problem and out of "your" ethics quit.. Playitloudforme.. you must live by double standards..Most people are going to do whatever it takes to survive.. Especially if they have a high paying job..

You know NOTHING OF ME! How DARE you tell me I live by Double Standards!!!!!!!!! I have ethics. I'd NEVER compromise them for a fucking buck. Or a million. If I had been Augeri, I would have quit in a heartbeat. Ask anyone who knows me what kind of ethics I have.

You have, however, done a fantastic job at showing what a first rate jerk you are.
