Has anybody else seen this show? It's the greatest music-based comedy that I've seen. They even parody Steve Perry a few times, as well as Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins, The Doobie Brothers, etc.....
It's also great that the actors use a serious amount of wigs. :P

For the love of smooth music, watch it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMTI8vg7A5U (Jeff Baxter's moustache is hilarious)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLFrzkTHP18 (Hall & Oates truly at their best. "Disco, motherfucker!")

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EatDR9uHD3g (Perry parody 1...helping Kenny Loggins to rock out. XD)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Lnt0h7P-Uk (Perry parody 2.... singing "Don't Fight It" with Loggins. :P)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8if4LV_SzE ("Smuuuuth meuuuusic")

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZBXNtMKJp4 (A trip back in time to the says of seed drilling.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnahCol3lXs (Michael McDonald gets hit by a car and is kidnapped.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn6rn-eBCOk (Another great Hall & Oates moment - "Fame, fortune, fashina...")

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGjL4hsBs3M (Best Dave Lee Roth impression EVER.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yb_XEwgfmDk (Steely Dan and the Eagles fight over the theme song for "F.M" - 'You've just checked into Hotel Calofasskick!')

Seriously, watch this if you love music of along these lines.

I've only seen a couple, but I remember one where Michael McDonald is driving fast to get to a studio where some song is being recorded, and he gets in the studio just in time to sing one line of backup vox. Is that one of the ones above?

I've seen a few of these. They're hilarious.

They're included in an animated clip called "Internet People".

I think you should be in that clip as well. You're more prolific than a lot of the ones they featured.

They show that clip in one of the episodes (episode 4 - one of the Steve Perry shows) but the full video of that is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvmVeYgMpLM

Phen, I have to say I'm really impressed with your taste in music. Especially from someone who is growing up in this generation.

Cheers. You can thank my dad for raising me in a different decade, but most of the bands I like I went out and found for myself. :P

These are hilarious. I was pissed when they stopped making them. The Perry parody is hysterical - doesn't really look like him, but just the way he's portrayed is funny.

The Yacht-Rock videos are among the most hilarious I have ever watched... I get my fix at least once a month and watch 'em all in order.. HILARIOUS!

My favorites are any with Toto and the second Van Halen-heavy one...

Especially when Templeman hurries up and slides the "SMOOTH" slider all the way up in a hurry and suddenly --- "Bah baddah, shooby-doo wah! Bah baddah, shooby-doo wah!"

That episode is a classic!

Ted: "The heavy metal devil made me do this!"
Koko: "Smooth Jesus made me do this!" *kick* XD XD XD I never get tired of that.

It's the same with most of the people they portray... but they all do it so well, it doesn't matter how bad the costumes are. :P

"What can I tell you about hard rock... that this guy can't?!?!?!?!"

*Enter Perry with dry ice and the guitar solo to Any Way You Want It blaring in the background*

Sheer genius.

LOL! From SCTV? I loved watching that show...(wow - long before they all became famous). The YR clips are funny - I had only seen the Can't Fight It before. :D
