The "Old Men" of Journey

Postby TigerBite » Tue Nov 27, 2007 8:27 am

After seeing the interview on 60 Minutes with The Eagles and now with the lead singer of Quiet Riot dying suddenly,
makes one wonder whether our guys from Journey, past and present, are acutely aware of their mortality?

They are aging fast and one must wonder if they have all their little duckies in a row.

Someone also needs to tell Schon that all the plastic surgery in the world isn't going to keep him from escaping the Grim Reaper.

I didn't see the Eagles thing, but I heard them talking about it on the Stern show today.
They said that you could clearly see their total disdain for each other, but still they plug along together.

(Perry? Schon? Cain? Dudes... listen, no one says you have to blow each other.
Just make a record or play together or something! LOL!! If the Eagles can do it, so can you guys.)

I stunned to find out Timothy B. Schmidt was 62 or something. And he is still "rockin'" the long hair....

I think every one of the guys in The Eagles is pretty darn close to 60, if not over 60. Remember, most of their hits were more than 30 years ago, and they weren't exactly 18 then!

Thank you. I've launched my one-woman campaign. Perry in 2008.

Perry for what in 2008, you may ask? Doesn't matter. For anything. Anything that gets us talking about something besides the recent and current shameful acts of the pussy posse - er, um, ooops I mean Journey.

Things like Dubrow's death, and Delp earlier this year, certainly make a lot of people take stock. It would be nice if these guys did and threw their fans a bone. I'm not holding my breath for that, of course.

This'll sound like I'm fellating Cain, but I'm here to speak the truth: the man's almost as old as Ross, right? Hell, he looks the youngest out of all of them. My mom also makes a habit out of mentioning that Cain's arms are "huge for a cissy keyboardist". Dude's in great shape for his age.

My dear woman, I'm a teenager [translation: you aren't telling me anything I don't already know. :)]. Seriously, though, Mr. Cain wears his age quite well and I hope I am lucky enough to be blessed the same way.

Damn, now you've impressed me too. Your Momma raised you properly! (But I'm only older than you by half a decade +/-) I'll admit he's aging more graceful than some others, especially when I think that he's older than my father.

Was it Robert Conrad that used to put the battery on his shoulder and say "Knock it off, I dare ya!"? I wanted to knock his head off and leave the battery where it was.
