Another one where the ending really fell apart. And as gross as the movie was...the book was SO much worse!!!

I just checked my King book IT. It IS a spider in the book!

I knew that didn't sound right!!
My son is reading it now and I asked him to let me know when he finishes...

The turtle was a big part of one of the Dark Tower books...but not as a "character", just symbolicly. (sp)

What role was she in The Stand? I don't remember her in that.

She was uncredited in The Stand. Look up Kathy Bates on IMDB... it's listed in her profile there.

28,

Kathy Bates plays the radio talk show host Rae Flowers. She does get killed in the Stand.

Also Ed Harris had an uncredited role as well.

Yeah, and the clown shows up in DT too. Captain Tripps and Flagg from the Stand are also from DT as well as Father Calahan from Salen's lot. Of course the Crimson King from Insomnia is part of DT, and so is Patrick Danville. I kept hoping Jack Sawyer was going to show up. The book Eye of the Dragon takes place in Mid-World too, but in an earlier time than Roland's Gilead.

Sal, I had forgotten about Dolores Claiborne. I love that story and movie. In fact, this thread has reminded me of a lot of movies from King's work that I'd forgotten about.
