OT: Redskins Sean Taylor shot and in critical condition.

I hope that someone can clear this up for me. I thought I heard on the morning news that the phone line was cut at the house before the attack. Is this true? I thought I heard someone say this and that is why it took so long for help to arrive. I am wondering if anyone had a cell phone.

you are right about the phone lines, so this bunch was up to serrius business. I guess like most of us in the confusion trying to locate the cell phone was chaos at a time like that i imagine the brain does not function normally........

Thanks Gail. I was hearing the news while trying to get my 11 year old up for school, so I couldn't sit by the tv and watch. I do hope they find whoever did this.

Man, as a Redskins fan, I'm just in shock by all of this. Football just seems secondary to me at this point. I wouldn't blame the Redskins for forfeiting this weekend's game. If not, then good for them. I just don't know how they will find the courage to play. Maybe being on the field will seem like therapy to them.

One reason Greg to play the game and win the DAMN thing is for the memory of Sean Taylor and nothing would give him more pleasre sitting at that 50 yard line seat in Heaven that wathing them beat the snot outta Buffalo because if he were alive that's what he'd be doing!!!!!!!!

My condolences go out to him and his family and teamates.
Goes to show that when you get yourself in the wrong crowd then try to better yourself, that the past comes back to haunt you. Sorry state of life but, unfortunatley, true.
I wouldn't blame the Skins for forfeiting the next game....but I don't think they should. Play your hardest and kick some ass for the memory of Taylor.
This actually reminds me of when the Bonfire fell at Texas A&M in '99. They went out the Friday, after a horrible Thanksgiving, and wrecked the Longhorns. I think a lot of that was due to the thoughts of their fallen classmates/friends like they were winning that game for them.
My thoughts anyway...
