Yes, it is a good feeling! I also wasn't online as much when I was working on them either. Once I get into the mode to do one, I just go gung ho!

I know what you mean. When I get into a project I'm completely into it to the exclusion of almost everything else. Some people call that OCD. In my case they may be right.

I come from a predominantly native american background, so passing on skills and traditions is deep-rooted. Quilting was a big thing in my home area a few generations back because it was really a survival skill. Now, it is a craft, but still, my great-grandma started teaching me as soon as I could work a needle. If you were closer to Carolina, I'd be happy to teach you.

That guitar is another Gibson-born abortion....like the Les Paul with the Cat5 cable a few years ago, they got Neal Schon to try and hock that on the public.

Why can't they realize that what attracts people to the Les Paul is the design of the 59 burst...nothing more, nothing less.

No stupid ass piece of shit with robotic tuning keys.
No stupid cat5 connection.
No bastardized black Les Paul deluxe with a floyd rose in it. (Yeah, Fro-bag, your black LP sucks!)

Speaking of native American, an Alabama-Coushatta friend of mind was trying to teach me to make pine needle baskets. She makes beautiful works of art. You know, I honestly cant remember. It was supposed to be a guitar that you could plug into a network...but for the life of me, I have not fucking idea why.

Gibson has been obsessed with trying to do cutting edge shit....but at the premiums they ask for instruments, people that buy them want nothing to do with a fucking circuit board in the guitar.

You've got people paying $400-500 and higher for replacement pickups that will replicate the old PAF tone....and Gibson's worried about fucking putting robotic tuners on their guitars!


I guess Gibson thinks that Journey fans are stupid enough to spend thousands of dollars on a guitar that tunes itself!

I wonder what stupidity would give Gibson that idea!

How on earth does anyone *not* realize you're playing a 1/2 step out of key and not make adjustments?!?!?! Was he stoned or coked out of his gorde!? Because drugs are the only thing that I could possibly imagine could be the reason why he would play like that.

Man, the others look like they were going to kick Schon's ass for that display of awful playing.


You know, there are times when I just don't get Schon. Times when he's brilliant. Then he'll pull out his rocket-launcher pedalboard crap, plug direct into a digital amp, and sound like total ass.

Take his tone in this video...compared to the others, his tone sucks. plain and simple. The other guys have warm, thick guitar tones....Neal's tone is thin....like he took his strat, plugged it straight into his guitar amp (which was set for his Crappy, bastardized Les Paul Deluxe) and forgot to adjust the tone controls on the strat!


There are times when he sounds brilliant....but I just dont get some of the things he does, both on the stage and off.
