So what's the point in this thread....is there one?
Hunsicker in stage garb looks like Perry or not?
Anyone going somewhere with this?

LMAO Have I told u lately that I love ur sense of humor Moonie?

Thank you kindly.

Now about them schnozes we're all talking about
in other posts here.....
Anyone check out that fella Illio or whatever his name is on
dancing with the stars last night?
I NEVER watch that show but had friends over that wanted to
tune in so I played a good hostess and gave the tv an hour of
my life.
That man is Beautiful....love his beak!

I personally don't see the resemblance, but, ...and I don't figure she will mind me saying this....Jeremey's wife Sabrina told me that when she met him he actually did have long hair and reminded her of Steve Perry....I don't remember now how old she said he was when they met but I think it was in highschool.

I think Jeremey did well in capturing Steve's style on stage but
I sure don't think he resembles him.
I'm still lost in thoughts of where this is going.

How can anyone compare these two, Hugo is by far the better looking of the two, and in my opinion way more talented.

Hey that's ur opinion but Jeremey reads here & it's not fair to him to state it in that manner as it comes across as insulting. I love Hugo too. But it was Jeremey Journey auditioned, not Hugo.

I like Jeremey also, and I am not trying to make him feel bad, it is just my opinion that Hugo is a lot better looking.
Also just so you know, Journey was considering Hugo long before Jeremey and Arnel, and he did not have to audition.

I heard that Neal said it was too eery how much he was like Steve. That's an oxymoron if you ask me. That is their whole goal in life, re-create Steve Perry.

Do share, cuz I've always said Hugo is who they should get if there's going to be a replacement. What's the story. Did he refuse?

Neal said: "Hugo was actually a singer that…..when we were looking for a new vocalist, we considered checking him out and then I saw pictures of the guy that completely freaked me out... he looks exactly like Steve Perry! The guy didn’t get a fair chance to even try out with us but I hear he’s very good."

Here's what Hugo said about it:

Q: When I did the interview with Neal Schon,he said that you were one of the singers they considered on when replacing Steve Perry, you must be honored over such a thing?
Hugo: It was amazing! I had gotten a phone call from John Kalodner at Sony saying that Perry was out of the band and it was time for me to get my Journey records out! After the holiday season, I was to fly out to LA to meet and rehearse with the band. As it happens, people in the Journey organization decided too many similarities may have been a detriment to the continuation of the band. It was a hard one to swallow, but hearing Steve Augeri fit so well, it was the right decision for the band. The situation ignited the flame in my heart to continue on with my solo stuff. I am grateful for that!!

Do you feel better making that call here?
I didn't think anyone was making a comparison but if you
must then try not to let the mud pies hit ya on your way along.

I think both men are talented and it has nothing to do with appearance.

What I heard was that he was the #1 pick, then Jeremey, but they wanted to see Jeremey live, Journey new all about Hugo from his Valentine and Open Skyz days, but they were still hung up on the "Perry Look". Even after Jeremey auditioned, Hugo was the guy untill JC came across Arnel on Youtube, brought Arnel in and decided to give him a shot. Journey management was very high on Hugo and wanted to go that way, knowing that having him as a frontman would sell tickets for there next tour, but JC and NS will always do what they think is right even if it is flat wrong, Hugo would sell out venues, hell he sell's out every place he plays now!

Well, Journey Management is smarter than I gave them credit for. I honestly think Hugo would have sold lots of tickets, but either way you look at it, Journey will still a parody of itself no matter who sings because ALL the contenders are tribute band singers.
