Journey concert dates

Postby Escape Artist » Thu Nov 29, 2007 3:52 am

I find it amusing that Journey has booked 3 concert dates and has not announced who their singer is...outside of a few hundred? hardcore fans who else knows who is singing. My bet is the band formerly known as journey wants most of the casual fans to believe it is SP singing, less said the better. It's not going to work... no one no matter how casual a fan is going to buy into this incarnation.

And the mula keeps on rollin or I should say tricklin in.

They're just making motions to keep the greenbacks movin'. Sounds like they're not committing to anything long term.

AP is the latest pawn in this long drawn out game.

They're hoping they wont have to make an announcement. Either that, or they will bury such an announcement underneath some fortuitous posting on how the band's music was used in a mini-series.

The fact of the matter is that a singer change, unless it's back to Perry, is not something the band wants to advertise.

They'd rather just go out with a 'new hire'....hope the crowds show up, and hope 5/6 of them (the idiots that they are) drive home saying to their respective car-mates "wow, I didn't know Steve Perry was asian!"

This is their hope....but it wont work out the way they intended....and it will blow up in their face like every other dumb ass move this band has made for the past 3-5 years.

No, you're just faulted with unrealistic expectations. Arnel isn't going to be the white knight you think he's going to be.

Call 'em whatever you like, they are still booking shows without letting people know that there is ANOTHER lead singer.

You know Suz, you PM'd me once telling me that you find my rants and tirades hysterical along with the abuse heaped on certain people. You are about dead fucking center of my bullseye now. Anymore you remind me of the Jehovah witnesses the way you are constantly trying to make everyone see that you are right for liking this guy and everyone else is wrong. Give it a fucking rest. You are not going to change anyone's mind. My entire existence anymore is to heap abuse on Journey period. Out of respect to Andrew, I have refrained from doing so lately on his board but your tired old "just wait and see, he's great" shit is growing really old and tiresome.

That was the only part you chose to quote? So I am to assume that every other part is correct? You have become one of the most pathetic people on this board and AP's biggest cheerleader, and I need to get a life. Give me a fucking break.

Should I have quoted the entire stupid post when basically it only had those 2 points?

I'm pathetic b/c I'm a fan of Arnel? Does that mean everyone who is a fan of someone u don't care for is also pathetic? Give me a break.

Ive been a fan of Steve Perry, Gregg Rolie, Robert Fleischman, Kevin Chalfant, Steve Augeri, Jeff Scott Soto, and Arnel Pineda. If I am pathetic for it then who cares? Im a fan and I love the music!!!! I dont think ArnelRox is pathetic because she likes Arnel, I think that is great and really this board needs more people to get behind this version of Journey, less naysayers. She makes it seem very enthusiastic on here and that maybe there is a positive future for the band. For that I say thanks to her. Her outlook has certainly made me a lot more excited for 2008. I cant wait to catch Journey live again!!!

Well since you can't manage to capture a concept either, I'll spell it out for you. I DON'T GIVE A SHIT IF YOU LOVE AP! JUST STOP TRYING TO RAM THE FUCKING GUY DOWN EVERYONE'S THROATS! That's the pathetic part. Simple enough for you. Next time read back up further in the thread and maybe you would have understood to begin with.

Boy, if there was ever, and I mean ever a board made for you, it was Backtalk. Get behind? Dude, you need to go back and read this Board from the last 3 years. People here were hardcore...much more than you could ever imagine. They were hardcore and relentless in their support for a dying band. They/we traveled this nation to death, following these cocksuckers, paying good money and supporting bad ideas. Once JSS was cut loose, enough of us said "fuck it" and moved on. I wouldn't say that people here hate Arnel, but they have been bent over and fucked dry up Shit Street one too many times. You on the other hand are full of optimism and passion. That's great, but it's really tough if not impossible to be passionate for something that basically spit in your face.

You go "get behind" this once proud band, for they sure aren't that anymore. Before you chew others out here for their lack of passion and optimism, read some history. Love the music? Oh ok. That's what CD's are for. Go strip down, get in your Pacer and turn on Open Arms and jack off on your drive down the street to your local carnival where the MIGHTY Journey will be playing. Have a delightful time. You want to spend your money on backstabbing sons of bitches be my guest.

As for Chief dropping scuds on Susie(ArnelRox), he is right. She is out of control. Susie, we get it, you have info on AP.... oooh...fuck, that is heavy stuff. The guy can sing the polish off a bowling ball but it's too late in the game to give a flying shit. STOP ramming the bastard down our throats. Let the fucker sink or swim on his own merit.

Jesus Christ! I need a beer or 20. Who wants to get hammered tonight?
