"...years of karaoke have already proven that the Journey songbook belongs to both genders, and all races and creeds. Provided you can hit the notes."

Dear God, I hope not. Of course, as per the reaction to Arnel, I suppose if I voice my opinion against a female lead singer in Journey, that must make me a sexist.

Regardless, I don't believe this one for a minute.

How does she do it? She was also rumored to be considered a frontrunner for the vacant VH vocal position when DLR left...

Patty is history. Her voice is shit now. Augeri can sing as good as her and we all know how well that turned out. Just because she did Only the Young and slapped it on a record doesn't make her qualified to sing lead for the toughest catalogue in music.

Yeah well then me too. As a female I give you full permission to voice an opinion against an idea like that. I'll even let you use the C word if you want. Then again, I'm not like most chicks. I use the C word all the time. The rest of them might not like it too much, but... meh. Who cares. :D No fucking female vocalists in Journey. *puke smiley*

(...and no damn "perry sounds like a chick anyway" jokes... I see you fuckers lurking with those... just save it. it's old)

:?

Back in the day Patty Smyth was great. Not Journey material though.

If we're playing musical alphabet, I like the "B" word myself.

She's always had this husky low voice. She could never sing Journey unless they tuned down a few steps. Plus unfortunately time has not been kind to Patty's vocal abilities.
