Hey RedJoe, if you pick up the DVD for Die Hard4 they have the uncut version. More swearing, more blood and the tag line is intact. Sad to say though, only the tag line improves the film, the rest was not missed in the original...

I was pissed when I found out about the PG-13 rating but it makes sense. They were trying to cater to younger audiences and it worked, it pulled in over $134 million in the United States alone. They were aiming for the casual fans rather than the die hard fans (no pun intended). The Unrated version of the movie can stand right up there with the first three. With the good numbers it made I’m hoping FOX & Willis will consider doing a 5th one.

Pick up the Live Free or Die Hard directors cut, more like the earlier ones-ERIC

Bruce has repeatedly stated that after Die Hard 4 he was "retiring" from action movies. However, I think we will still see him in movies like Hostage and 16 Blocks that HAVE action but are not ALL action.

I don't know about all that....McClane is (was) an uber violent character. I mean he kicked the ever-loving SHIT out of people ON camera and dropped (f) bombs all over the place in the first 3. Hell in 3 he single-handedly anhililated an elevator full of 4 goons w/ a handgun and all the bullet penetration and blood was shown. This was like Die Hard lite or Die Hard After School Special.

Spaceballs... duh!! Want the context? Okay, toward the end of the movie when Lonestar is trying to get to the Self-Destruct button and he battles Dark Helmet.

"Lonestar, there is something you should know about us."
"What?"
"I am your father's brother's sister's cousin's former roommate."
"So what does that make us?"
"Absolutely nothing."

Watch the special feature on disc 2 titled: “Yippee Ki Yay, Motherf*****: Bruce Willis/Kevin Smith Interview.” There are some surprisingly optimistic comments by Willis on a possible Die Hard 5.

I guess in the end it is up to the individual viewer to decide but I must point out that you haven’t seen the Unrated edition. There are much more Willis “f bombs” and much more blood, I think your opinion might change if you see it the way it was meant to be seen.
