FAVE DLR era - VAN HALEN's first album (the world was introduced to one of the best guitarists ever)

FAVE SH era - 5150 (proved that Van Halen could move ahead without DLR)

Album's more cut and dried than song:

FUCK.

Songs, I have favorites everywhere from Once and Without You to Pleasuredome, Apolitical Blues, to DOA and Take You Whiskey Home.

Diver Down - the first concert I ever went to, and the first VH album I bought myself. Sure, there are probably better VH albums, but this is my favorite.

Girl Gone Bad - sick fucking song. Can't get enough of it.

That song is fucking way off the hook. How about the mean ass swagger on Edward's Frankenstein on that one? 8) That and House Of Pain make side 2 of '84 one of those great, cult fave side 2s along w/ Jrny's Frontiers and The Stones' Tattoo You.
