That was great, Phen! You sure do have a lot of fun doing these, don't you.
I've got to say, you look remarkably like a very good friend I had in highschool....and you also seem to be similar to her in personality. Unfortunitely, she was raped and murdered  so I will always see her as a young, vibrant, beautiful girl, so filled with hope and promise. She was only 17 when she was killed. That's why I said be a little careful out here, girl, and don't give out all your info. Love your artwork, I'm an artist too. Keep up the good work, your very talented. :)

Actually it made me laugh. Reminded me of the "Dumb and Dumber" scene in the truck after stiffing Seabass with the bill at the diner.

Yeah, your right NIG, we shouldn't care about anything or anyone. Excuse me while I go find a decent person to talk to now! :P

For some weird reason, every time I try to type in an apostrophe now, the browsers text search feature opens and no apostrophe is typed. :? I am using Firefox. Strange behavior. You might notice that I am typing all words out without abbreviation or anything that would require an apostrophe.

First of all, I was talking to Phen, not you. Do you always interject yourself into conversations between others like a bratty, obnoxious, little kid? Do you always put down and make fun of someone when they are talking about the death of a dear friend of theirs? You are the one that has some serious social skills problems if you do, not I.

Great stuff Phen. Thanks for keepin' us updated.

I completely understand that Phen picks the songs. On that note, please don't ever cover F.I.B. But if you do, don't let us know about it. Deal?

Hey, Loggins and the rest of the Yachters music are cool. There's a few good rocky pop type songs from the '90s and '00s as well.

Roxette, The Corrs, Bon Jovi, Gin Blossoms ('Til I Hear It From You and a couple others)

Speakin of the '90s, have you checked out The Storm cds (Rolie, Smitty with Kevin Chalfant?

Original stuff so you can't go all Augeri on'em!

Your post was weird, as are you. You come out of nowhere and bring up rape and murder to a 15 year old who is simply posting fun vids of herself singing. What the hell happened to you to make you like that?

Great, I'm rapeable. ¬_¬ I'm not that naive you know, I don't exactly give out my address and phone number for all to see. :P Besides, I can handle rapists. Long story. Too lazy to explain. :P Cheers, it's nice to be on the subject of art rather than rape. :D Yeah... I'm drawing more than usual at the moment. I have to get my art project finished by the end of the week (album cover design.... it's fun, but fiddly and time consuming).

For crying out loud, I do not have the time to spell everything out for some of you on this board who just get off on attacking others on their views and who don't get things that others have no problem understanding. You are adults and should have a better comprehension by this time then you apparently do. I have tons of patience...especially with kids and teenagers because they understand that there is much for them to learn....it's adults who think they already know it all that I lose patience with sometimes.
For your information, since you are so concerned with what I said, along with being a commissioned artist, I am also currently employed to give counsel to teenagers. I have done volunteer work for years and my services have been sought out in the counsel of teenagers. I have raised 3 children of my own and they have many friends who call me mom and still will seek my counsel from time to time, even though they are now adults in their 20's. I spend a large percentage of my time around young people.
Now with that said, I will get back to your point of contention. I merely related to her that she reminds me of my friend, in fact the resemblance is uncanny....that is a reality. My friend was killed....that, unfortunitely, is also a reality. Teenagers do not have their heads in the sand as you seem to think. I have not said anything to her that I'm sure she hasn't heard before and is well aware of. Teens can deal with hearing about the realities in life. They are still looking for some guidance and understanding but they don't like to be talked down to like they are too young and dumb to understand things. She can speak for herself, but in my opinion, that is probably why Phen started in here talking in a manner that may be shocking to some adults. Sometime's teens will talk in the ways that they hear adults do to try to prove that they aren't children anymore and that they know the ways of the world. I was merely letting her know that I was telling her this in reference to what occured previously here and that this is one of the reasons why I put myself out there in concern for her well being. I didn't want her to think it was because I didn't think that she was not capable of taking care of herself or that she wasn't intelligent enough. I think that she is very intelligent and will understand what I was referring to and why I spoke of my friend to her. If she does have a question of my post to her I'm sure she will comment on it.
So, NIG, you, like many here do, interjected yourself into something without having seen the whole picture. Try getting some more information before you pass judgement. With knowledge comes wisdom. This was a brief message to Phen, not you, so I hope you will not continue to drag this out just because I may have offended you and we can get back to the music now.....or you can continue attacking me if you wish, but I have other things to do. Have a great day.

Well, I usually post here if I put upa video, don't I? :P

Yeah, the occassional good pop group has sprouted since. Typical that I don't like any of the ones you mentioned. I think that the only pop band of the 90s I like are Pulp. Maybe there are others, but none spring to mind.

Of course I have. :) I'll listen to pretty much anything with Rolie on it, for a start. And you gotta love Smitty and Kevin.

Notice how Phen just blows off your "advice", Phyllis? Your inflated sense of self-importance is hilarious. Like I give a shit about your background.

And posting a pic of Debbie Downer in response to your completely inappropriate post is hardly attacking you. It fit the nature of your post perfectly. This thread is supposed to be fun, but here comes Phyllis, aka Debbie Downer, to bring everybody down. What the eff?

I took philosophy class for 2 reasons. 1) To figure out the way human minds work and 2) To talk to Mr Cassie about class rock. Mainly the second reason, but the first reason has paid off. Reverse psychology doesn't really work that well anyway. XD

Pulp are a very British group, so you'd have to know lots of idioms, slang and the hunour, etc... they're awesome. "Common People" was their biggets hit, if that rings any bells.
Well, I don't see the point in posting if it's about something that you don't take an interest in. It's fun to have a hate rant occassionally though.... (emphasis on occassionally).

I'm an old fashioned stubborn girl. I like my rock classic, my cartoons hand-drawn and my bands with hardly any changed members. (In general. Fleetwood Mac is probably my only exception.)

Yes, I have all of Kate's studio albums because they're total essentials. My very first youtube video was Wuthering Heights. and since on the 8th it'll be my one year youtube anniversary, I'll probably do a Kate song. I've just given away the surprise now. Never mind!
Oh, thanks for the Janis compliment. She's my all time favourite female vocalist. Kate's easier to sing, which is why I've done more of her songs.

I agree.... why does anything to do with me have to be turned into stuff about rape? When your adolescence springs to mind, do you have memories of rape or nostalgia (music, friends, etc)?

Obviously there'd be exceptions, but in most cases, I'd say nostalgia.

We all know that life's a bitch, but since it's so short we may as well have a laugh. That is the most basic philosophy viewpoint ever, but it's fucking true. I've been in a rut for nearly 6 years, but I cherish the good stuff. Besides, it's the first day of Channukah. Let's be festive. December is the month of festivities.

They might be, but I have no idea who DriveShaft are. If DriveShaft are remembered for their lyrics and their skinny frontman who mooned Michael Jackson at the Brit Awards, then yes, they are like Pulp. (The Jacko thing only applies to Pulp, of course, but you never know.)

Cheers. Anyone's free to call me Becky if you so wish.
