money or whatever, arnel will come out the real winner in this. i think you can agree. schon and company using him? big deal! it is a quamtum leap from where arnel had been. blow his voice out in two years? that one too! he can retire from this all in two years knowing he has done what many only can wish!--in his country, and i am sure the news will tricle in by tommorow, this feat has opened the pandora box not only to his home of origin but to the whole asian artists, that the U.S. market has opened the door for asians to penetrate. what schon and company has done to the asian artists (signers) is tremendous. that is the real essence of the Arnel phenomenon. call it business, money, skull duggery...he penetrated the inpenetrable and he is going to do it with his chin up!!!call him anything you want, but the last laugh is his NOW.

why go to a fanatical perspective when it brings about destructive effect to journey? let the band stir itself to the direction it wants to go. if it fails, so be it. but, what if it ascends to a better strata? the only people that is going to take advantage of this are the ones with the open mind. if you close the mind, you will be left behind.

someone posted "are there anymore in youtube?" the answer is yes. not as spectacular as arnel maybe but, the voice range in that country is abundant. the problem i see is "asian voice is inherently thin, but mind you very sweet and melodic. i can recommend looking at 'BAMBOO" in youtube and listen to the dialect versions of the songs. see for yourself what is going on there. another one woth invistigating is MYMP or M.Y.M.P,
maybe not commercially viable yet, but the arnelian ripple will quadruple its effect ot that country's musical consciousness.

And, though he wasn't a board or diehard fan favorite, don't take Augeri out of that equasion. If the rumor is true that he's singing and singing well, look what a year or two would have done for him. He'd still be able to belt out the dirty dozen, maybe with some help from Deen just to save his voice some, but he too was disposed of without a second thought or time to really heal. Yeah, and to your point, Jeff got royally "F'd by them. It's not a matter of IF it's WHEN.. But, that said, I wish the guy well, he seems to have the voice for it.

I still think they should take the songs down at least half a step so that Arnel won't fall victim to the throat problems other singers have faced.

He's awesome, but singing those high songs night after night can ruin the greatest voices.

Congrats to Arnel, you have a lot of work ahead of you. I must say that this must be a dream come true for you. Just warning you bro, "Watch your back", don't trust no one. If I were you, don't respond to the negative posts and comments about you. If you do, you're asking to hang yourself dry just like what Jeremey's doing right now. In other words, think of what you're saying before posting. Don't say anything and can't back it up. And don't be cocky either like JSS. You have'nt proven anything yet. You are under the radar and on this big microscope of people waiting for you to fuck up and can't wait to shredd you in pieces.

When I first heard that you were being considered as the possible lead singer for Journey, there is no way that Neal would even consider you. During Thanksgiving Day, you were the topic of my family's conversation. I had a fifty dollar beat with my in-laws that you are not the lead singer and you were just the scapegoat for Perry's return to the limelight and to resume his legacy. I was wrong.

Looking at the big picture, I think this could turn out to be a good move for Schon. I could see some money coming in from all venues not only here in States but worldwide.

One last advice Arnel, you need to hire a wardrobe expert. Don't just stand there in-front of the microphone and mimic the songs. You look like a dork having a hard time singing the songs, you're vein seems like they are bursting out. The audience are looking for some energy and stage presence. I feel like in a convalescent home watching you in YOU Tube. Act professional, remember, you are doing something that has never been done in history. And lastly, no TAPEGATE please. If you take this advice, you will be alright. I can't wait to see you guys in Temecula. Rock on!!
