I hope you're right. I wasn't around for the release of Arrival and subsequent tour, but IMO it seems to me that they management and the band was a lot more "together" for that release, compared to Generations. Am I correct in saying that management had a larger part around the time of Arrival? I hope you're right that Azoff is involved now.

SONY was behind Arrival.
But for all the "power" Azoff has, he should have been able to do so much more...starting with Remember Me in Armageddon. It just felt to me like the band always took the easy way. They didn't want to work harder than what it takes to tour and so management didn't have to do much.
But I do remember hearing that Journey was the one to "book" the Early Show appearance...one of their disastorous self-promotion attempts. Still, chalk that one up to Journey/management.
