Perry's miles better than 4 of those douche bag's and decidedly better than Mercury.

Gotta disagree on the Mercury thing Dan. Freddie had an immediately identifiable voice and a still unmatched stage presence. While SP's voice is identifiable, I don't see it as immediately recognizable as Freddi's.

Freddie was the most amazing rock performer to ever grace a stage...I saw him waaay back in the day. Mesmerizing, amazing...

I was fortunate enough to see SP and Diamond Dave back in '81-'83, as well.

Impossible call. They're all deserving.

Brian May is also the total package; just as talented as Neal, though not perhaps as stylistically diverse as Neal. I'd bet a month's salary he's just a little bit brighter than 'Fro, however. Just a guess.

Didn't Freddie has a cock in his mouth 95% of the time?

Steve Perry is far and away the best singer not o that list. McCartney shouldn't even be anywhere near a best singer poll as he can't sing for sh!t by comparison.

A homophobic comment in this thread and a borderline racist one in another. Don't let the door hit you on the way out...(jk)

Mercury wasn't nearly as good live and was atrocious at times live. A throat full of dried up semen could have been the problem. Monker, care to weigh in?   Mercury was incredible in the studio though. Hit or miss live. Perry was a hit anywhere.

Although I can't agree with your reasoning as to why no matter how elequently you put it - I have to agree that Mercury's vocal perfomance was definately hit and miss live. He was known to lead quite an extravangant life style, lots of partying so maybe those late nights and chemicals took their toll at times?

That's what the story on Freddie right? Truth is the truth. I am not the first one to bring that up.

SP is the man no doubt.

George Michael has one of the most stunningly beautiful voices in the world, and he's gay. Please tell me why his sexual orientation matters.

Rob Halford possesses one of the great hard rock voices ever, and he may or may not have had a homosexual experience or two back in the 70's.

Gotta love Halford although he had his own share of off nights on the last Priest tour. Thankfully when I saw them he was definately on form, absolutely amazing.

Not keen on George Michael's songs but his voice is absolutely fantastic. Surprised you didn't mention the recently outed Ricky Martin...although come to think about it his voice is a little bit rubbish really!

Everytime I see the pic on the bottom of your posts I think of what a good idea it would be for JSS to release a live in Brazil DVD. I've no idea why!!!

Ricky Martin, dumbass. :P And Mr. Brady was married too. Probably went gay from looking at Alices's fat skanky ass. Greg fucking his wife didn't help much either I suppose.

Freddie was a great vocalist, but notoriously flat live and avoided most of the high notes live.
Tyler, great singer and original.
McCartney, great singer. He's 65 and can still belt out Helter Skelter.
Daltry, decent, but one dimensional.
Plant- uh, no. Roll the live aid footage. he sucked as much as anyone can suck.

Perry SHOULD be in there.... but Perry stole everything from Sam Cooke. Listen to Sam's recordings, then listen to Perry's.
Perry's range was larger than Sam's but all those Perry runs, were Sam's first.

how come Brad Delp never makes it into the lists? He seemed to to have limitless range and was just great.

Name the so called "runs" that Perry stole from Cooke. Also, cite specific songs. This is ridiculous. Perry was as original as the next guy and the diversity of the catalog proves that.
