The fact is and will always be is that you take negative comments about FS way to personal, as though you are somehow a part of him, or separated at birth, in one thread you say you like JJ and the next you are taking personal digs at how he makes a living, well, at least he is supporting himself, whether is be by pouring beers in a bar, as you indicated, which I am sure he has never done, to playing in parking lots, as you have also indicated.

The fact that JJ didn't take legal action if things were so unjust convinces me that his claims may lack substance. Secondly I don't work for FS or Survivor. I have no relationship with FS whatsoever. I don't take attacks against him personally. I do have a problem when a bulletin board wants to use him as a human pinata. It really is rediculous lark. Seriously. I have met JJ. He is a nice guy. He is a great vocalist. There is no denying that. I just think JJ should grow a pair and take some accountability for his own finances and career instead of pointing fingers at Frankie Sullivan. My problem with the board is that JJ gets a free pass on everything and FS gets the blame for everything. Gee I don't know seems a little biased to me. You guys all get wound up because I try to create a little balance.

Why do you keep subtley linking Andrew with direct involvement in that interview?

He made it abundantly clear it was from an independant source and a source who interviewed Jamison only, not Amadeus Sullivan.

Red Andrew takes responsibility for what he puts on his website so therefore he is linked to the interview. Having said that my issue isn't with Andrew. I wish people on the board would quit making it about that. My issue is with the way the interview was done. That's it! Red when I interview someone I challenge them especially if they start making personal attacks when the other person isn't present. That's not only the right thing to do, it's the ethical thing to do. What's wrong with that?

OK, so knocking down your passive/agressive strawman red herrings filled with little buzzphrases like "I love Andrew's site, BUT" and "I think Andrew does a great job, but having said that..." , Andrew IS linked to the interview, the interview is unethical and so must Andrew be.

Red I'm sorry but I'm not like you robots. I can disagree with someone. It's hardly passive agressive. Andrew has a great sight. I like Andrew. I didn't like the interview. What's the issue here? I will say this once again. I just read the interview again and I feel even stronger that the person conducting it did not do adequate follow up when Mr. Jamison issued his personal attacks. It's that simple.

 yea, well hey.

He should've treated Jamison a little better than maybe we wouldn't be IN this boat now.

The scene is set. Quiet Riot needs a vocalist now, and who sounds more Quiet Riot-like than McRobin?

Let that happen, cut Jamo a big check for deadbeated back paymnets and let's go forward and kick ass with the Reach lineup and Billy O on bass.

How about Jamo grow a pair and be responsible for his career and his finances. Let me ask you Red. Why was Jamo living on maxed credit cards when this is the guy that should have been making millions in royalties from I'M ALWAY HERE? I think that's a fair question. If JJ is so great why didn't he have other options other than Survivor? Why just 2 solo albums? I hope his new one turns his career around. JJ's interview on this website smacks of a man pissed off because he let his prime slip by while others with less talent made it bigger. Sorry but the truth hurts.

Because as he said, Franklin made sure he didn't get paid for royalties.

Let me get this straight. Frankie made sure that JJ didn't get paid for I'M ALWAYS HERE? That makes no sense Red.

What does him not being paid what's due him in his time in Survivor have to do with his solo career?

And by saying "So what, he should've been making $ from Baywatch royalty" you're admitting Francois ripped him off as he contends.

Now, you'll circle back to the "well sue, then" argument and I'll point out as have others, that because of being ripped off, he doesn't have the money to retain the lawyers.

Red FS has nothing to do with Jamo getting royalties from I'm always Here. My god Red you make JJ seem like a helpless infant. This is my problem with you guys. JJ should be accountable for himself. Accountable for his finances. Accountable for his career. It's not FS fault that he didn't go further. Where is JJ money from "I'm Always Here"? That is an honest question that has nothing to do with Frankie Sullivan and Survivor.

He is also talking about maxing his credit cards etc. Financial dire straits! My question is why is he in this position? Where are the royalties from I'm Always Here? Something sounds fishy to me. To quote a friend of mine "That Dog Don't Hunt." The story here doesn't add up!

Well, HE'S asking where are his royalties from Survivor?

By shifting the blame to him mocking the Baywatch song and mocking him for pissing all that money away, you're actually saying "So what if Frankie jammed Jamison on the Survivor money he owes him? He should STILL have money."

Discussing it with you where one question is answered, then you ignore that ask another question which is answered, then ignore THAT and go back to the OLD question gives one a weird sense of explaining chickens and eggs to a 5 year old or The Twighlight Zone or something. Tail-chasing.

All of your questions have been asked and answered.

We're about due for an "I love Andrew and his site but having said that (it's his fault)" line now, been a while.

No they have not been answered. I'm sick of the poor JJ crap. Like I said Red you'd swear JJ was an infant. You make him accountable for nothing. Not even his career. My point is I don't believe JJ was living off of credit cards etc. It makes no sense. This makes no sense. In fact when I did an interview with him 5 years ago we joked about him going to his mail box to get royalty checks! The idea that Survivor and REACH put him in financial straits makes no sense. It doesn't add up.

Because he told her that he'd change and it wouldn't happen again....sound familiar? Now take this into account.....if you are in a terrible marriage, but you only see your spouse once every 3 weeks or so,how do you know the marriage is bad?

....Jim Peterik was Survivor as if you read the interview Jimi states that Jim wrote all the songs and Frankie only contributed a small lick or lyric here and there. So why didn't Jim protest giving him any credits???? Maybe because for the good of the band???

So JJ has battered wife syndrome? Surely you are joking. In regards to songwriting. Here's a quote from Peterik taken from an interview last year. This is from Hardrockhouse.com.

Who has been your favourite person to write with over the years and is there anybody, alive or dead' that you'd like to work with?

I wrote a lot of good ones with Frankie Sullivan- we had a good chemistry when we wrote- but also Dan Barnes and Jeff Carlisi of 38 and John Wetton. id like to write with Paul McCartney and Paul Simon.

Note he mentions Frankie Sullivan. Sorry you can try to tear FS down all you want but you can't.

The hell they haven't been. They've been answered in blunt hard-hitting stark fashion by Jamison himself in the interview. His answer to why he's been hard up and maxed out on ccs is because Sullivan has not paid him a great deal of money that he is owed. He didn't dance around that he came out and said it. You've acknowledged as much as well by saying that he should have Baywatch $ anyway excusing ANY transgressions FS may have inflicted.

You can laugh off what jimi said all you want. Pretend it did nto exist. Still there are problems...afterall Frankie has chased off nearily everyone (except Marc). Survivor although the same in name is now "The Frankie Sullivan Band". You can like that if you want but there are people out here that are angry we don't have more.

As for Eddie Money's song Don't Say No Tonight...not even a top 50 Eddie Money song. Very mediocre.

What are you talking about? Sting, DLR had fine solo efforts without their bands. Did I ever say there weren't problems with Survivor? Clearly there were just like most bands. I give FS credit for keeping the band alive. As far as the READY EDDIE, It's a great album just recorded at a time when you couldn't get it played on radio. Hell even Andrew liked it very much. Really Rock is the best you have offer up? Like I said you guys can defend JJ all you want but it's about time Mr. Jamison be accountable for his own career.

Hey Red...

Firstly, Andrew only posted a link....so he is not responsible for the content of the interview....positive, negative or otherwise....

Just to add a small nugget to this ever increasing mountain....FS, better yet, nobody has access to Jamo's royalties with Survivor. They are distributed by an independant source...ASCAP, BMI ect. or his publisher...Frankie could not get his hands on it if he tried....I am NOT trying to fuel any fire here, but I wanted you guys to know how we (artists) get paid...it is the same for all of us....we go to the mailbox and woila $$$$ hahahha....well that's how it comes in....

As far as "Reach" well let's just say that was not a Million seller, but it sold amazingly well (for this marketplace) for sure...and the advance I am sure would go to recording costs, UNLESS there was an agreement for a split on the advance....however, that would not be much....probably about the amount Jimi is cliaming for his expenses if even that amount....Only Jamo and FS know the real skinny there...but the amount of revenue generated from that album alone would not be an enormous amount of $$$....and as far as songwriting royalties (see above paragraph)...

As far as the Baywatch theme...and again not to get into specifics here, but the royalites (again, seperate from Survivor) would have added up in the millions....there are only two possible scenarios....One, it was spent.....Two, the publishing was signed away to a lable exec or someone giving him an advance on his publishing (for probably pennies on the dollar) this would be again, a lable exec or publisher....NOT JP or FS...remember Jamo was gone at that time....and JP AND FS sued Jamo...and there was a ton of bad blood for years...it was two vs. one, and everyone was AGAINST the one....now it is totally the opposite....

JP will NEVER, I mean NEVER back up that interview....I know the man...deep down know the man...and he has class that has no bounds...I may disagree with JP on some personal points, but as a man he would NEVER slag someone in the press or in an interview.....JP is an amazing songwriter and has great skill at working the press, he would never piss across the bridge....ever....JP is one of the most intuative guys I know, and he always thinks big picture....quite simply...great dude....

As far as songwriting....well JP will NEVER back up that interview statement either....JP would never just give away a song at 50/50 unless they both....THEY BOTH added equal input to the song....FS, I am sure would not either.....thus it was, and always will be one of the greatest collaborations in our era....like it or not they have one of the strongest track records TOGETHER of ANY writing duo in our era...seperately they do not have 1/100th of the success they had TOGETHER....and that is fine....they do really good stuff apart, but AMAZING, LEGENDARY stuff together.....

This whole interview thing, well it really is a non story....Jamo can say what he wants, Free country baby...but facts are facts.....and thats why the tabloid press does so well, people want to gossip and well let's just say that interview was sexy....had the "good dirt" as Jamo called it....whether Jamo was prodded or thrown soft balls as I read earlier does not matter....we all are responsible for what we say...and more importantly what we do....attacking the interview point by point as some have done I don't feel is going to accomplish anything (even though I did it a bit here)....EVERYONE that reads it will side for who they like/believe in/respect BEFORE they even read it...it's not going to change anybodies minds either way...do I agree with the interview....Nah....does it matter....Nah....

I respect everybodies opinion on this issue, I just wanted to state a few facts as it relates to royalties and that sort of thing....if some one other that I or another artist on this board made the same points I apologize in advance for reposting information....

Lastly....I hope Jamo and JP's album sells a million....and I hope mine does too....hahahahhaah

Thanks guys and I hope everybody has a safe and Happy Holiday Season and New Year....

really you guys raise a good point...I mean JJ and JP singing are as much Survivor as FS and MD...

From now on I will refer to the McSullivan lineup as the "Frankie Sullivan Band" or FSB for short....I encourage you all to do the same...

Slander could you, like, kinda pick a side here and stick with it?

You're alternating, sometimes post-by-post, between denying it happened ("Where's the proof?!?! There are unanswered questions!!!!!! ), admitting it happened and defelectiong blame ("Go to the publishers!!! it's THEIR fault!!!" or "It's unethical reporting for MR to run this!!!" ), and then admitting it happened, mocking Jamison (and let's face it at the end of the day, it ALWAYS comes back to that for you) and saying "so what, do something about it na na na na na!, :P " ("JJ's an infant, incapable of making his own money, why's he have to depend on Survivor after all he's 'an AOR legend' and has that mega hit 'I'll Be Here' to come back to so he shouldn't need the money Survivor owes him anyway?")

You can't have it all 3 ways, dude it's gotta be ONE thing and you stick to it.

I'll make it real clear for you. I think JJ story is great fiction and the kind of interview that inflames many.
What part of that don't you get? How simple is that?
