Back to the normal subject and pushing the egotistical people aside..
Arnel is going to be a great addition to this band. There IS a music world outside of Steve Perry, and people must realize this.
Steve Perry is 60 years old. He does not have the tools anymore. Many people want to believe this is the 1980's all over again and that Steve Perry can still belt them out the way he did in his prime. The sore truth of it is..is that he can not. This is my opinion, but look at the facts around this belief. He is sitting at home for a reason, and THAT is why he is retired. Mr.Perry is just a smart man, more than what people give credit for, and Journey the business must go on.
With that being said, I am calling everybody here their own bluff. I believe you are all full of shit. Thread upon thread gets more hysterical. The so called hatred, the so called anger to this band is at a high level. But yet.. when you log onto this site and hit the "JOURNEY..still they ride" link..that is saying volumes in itself. It says deep down you are in denial and are playing the whatever everyone else is doing thing. Journey has given people reasons to "hate them" ever since Perry has left the band, and yes, it was PERRY who walked out on them when it boiled down. As long as this will be the excuse, people will claim they are done with them. Showing these emotions give the notion on how much people actually do care for this band. I mean come on, this is why were here. You people GREW up with these guys. Bottom line. You listened to Perry..You listened to Augeri.. You listened to JSS, and you will now listen to Arnel.
It's like a relationship. You say you are moving on, shown the door..but just...can't...walk...out..
..Some men see things as they are and say why. I dream things that never were, and say, why not.
Even if I disagree with it.
