I see nobody's responded to the question of new material with Jeff, other than WoF

That I'm interested in as well.

Perhaps on this next album there will be alot of leftover material from the Schon/Soto sessions, kind of like how there were a lot of Planet US leftovers on SoulSirkUS, and in turn SoulSirkUS leftovers on Generations?

Yeah, well, what do you expect from someone who worships a guitar player as a deity...

Seriously though, I think most people prefer dogs. But that's probably because dogs are much more needy and constantly in your face for affection. People seem to like this. Cats are more independent, but no less loving. Just in a different way. Both my cats tuck me in at night and sleep leaning against me in some way shape or form. They're not just pets, they're family, with their own unique personalities.

So in short, fuck you.

I'm interested in this too. I asked about this when the studio demo of WOF was leaked. I remember Andrew saying Winds of Freedom was the only stuff recorded.

It's a crying shame that "WoF" is the only recorded material done with Jeff, if that's the case. A little Frigperiment that didn't work out very well.

I wonder if the band is willing to pay Soto royalties? If things ended so bad it is unlikely Joureny would want to line JSS' pockets anymore than they already have. So I doubt they will record anything Soto has credit on. Then again, if they feel guilty about what they did (never happen) then they might record some of his stuff as their way of saying "we're assholes but not HUGE assholes".

I've had cats all my life (since I'm 2). Never had nor have I ever heard of a problem. It's a very, very rare occurrence.

And I too also own a dog. Cat's are still tops. :P

One of the guys I work with was stopping his cat from lunging through the screen to get to a cat outside. His cat bit him. The next day his arm had swelled to double in size and turned very red. He missed three days of work and had to return to the hospital every day for a week taking IV antibiotics to flush the infection. He told me that ANYTIME someone is bitten or scratched by a cat they need to take it VERY seriously. Until then, I had never heard of this.

You know, that would be the ultimate insult to add to Jeff's injury, or Steve Perry's if it should happen to be stuff left over from TBF. No matter how good the stuff might be, that in itself would be enough to turn me off of them.

One time my cat bit me at the vets office because he hurt her and he gave me some antibiotic cleanser and told me to wash it immediately for at least 30 secs right there and then, and go to my doctor immediatly if there was any redness and/or swelling the next day.

Also, when my daughter was pregnant they told her not to go near a cat's litter box, walk barefoot in a house where there was a cat, nor walk barefoot outside at all in case there had been a cat around.

In some ways cats are easier day to day maintenance, but there health maintenance can be a lot more involved than a dog's

All these statements and stories are true. Cat's mouths can contain harmful bacteria and I've also heard the thing about pregnant woman and litter boxes. Even still, Cats are the superior pet so-> :P

Wow.. good info, never heard that.. Is it possible Jeff might have hurt one of the band member, maybe not even knowing he did?

Cats suck. When a cat jumps up on your kitchen counter (which they do as soon as you leave the house) and sits down, you know what part of it's body kisses your countertop. It's asshole. Little cat asshole kisses all over your cutting board.

I'll pass on the cat's.

Like I said, they require an INTELLIGENT owner. :P

Actually pretty fucking stupid to have a cat and let them ass kiss your counter or cutting board. Enjoy your next salad (or whatever you cut on the cutting board) with microscopic bits of shit in your food.

Right. Because it's not like a dog will lick his balls, give himself a rim job, toss his own SALAD, then LICK HIS OWNER'S FACE or anything.

 :D

By the way, cat's are much more clean than dogs. They don't require bathing like dog's do. They don't smell. An INTELLIGENT person would know this. 8)

An Intelligent owner would also know that after the dog licked his balls, gave himself a rim job and tossed his own salad that a dogs mouth is still cleaner than a human's.. BOX! But your response was funny as hell,I was actually laughing out loud on that one!! Even a comedian can be an idiot! Richard Jeni,John Belushi,Chris Farley.. ect... I think you get it..

Jeremey wrote:there really wasn't an audition process, per se. some within the band were not happy with the new direction they were heading in with new material with jeff. jonathan's daughter madison saw me performing on youtube. she showed jonathan, he tried selling management and schon on me without any luck. i was called and told that jc wanted to "explore all their options" before making a full commitment to a new direction with jeff and that he wouldn't be comfortable moving forward if he didn't at least have the chance to see me. he convinced schon to fly to charlotte later that week, and schon was sold as well.

over the next few weeks, they nailed down a date to bring me to california to perform for management and see what they thought. in the interim time, jeff was terminated. at that point, my conversations with neal and jc turned to "what are you going to do now, what if this doesn't work out?" i was told not to worry about it, management would go along with them and the band (neal and jon) would be strong enough to support the band writing new material, etc.

so i went out there, they offered me the job, and without getting into details, apparently i didn't mesh with schon's personality. next thing i knew, there was no deal, and schon was scouring MR where he saw arnel mentioned. they flew him in from the phillipines and he knocked everyone dead, apparently with less baggage than i would have brought to the table. so he's the new singer.

there, hope that clears things up!

Great info Jeremey,I didn't know that.. I thought you didn't want the gig because of family? That's what I heard,or they offered you the job and you didn't take it.. Ok,I'm confused.. :?:

If we go by the time frame youre describing above..... Jeff was terminated end of May, and he found out begining of June.
And if they flew you over few weeks after the 1st approach, this means (going back few weeks from when they flew you in) that you did indeed have an idea at the May 11th party at Dave's house, when you jammed with Jeff.

Why do you have such a hard on for Jeremey? I enjoy the info he brings to the table here - he was closer to Journey than anyone here will ever be. You've made your point countless times. Please let it go - it's getting tired.

Sounds like YOURE the one with the hardon for him not me.
For the record , I did let it go , but I will chime in, ANYTIME its brought back up again.
