Well, that just about sums it up.

Well said.

The "Journey" from the first album thru Arrival is just amazing.

Make yourself an mp3 playlist of the best stuff from all albums and sit back for a few hours. It is just fantastic.

That's funny, I did that, from beginning to end (1996) , chronalogically, and it is awesome. You can really see how the music evolved.
"as long as they have to carry DSB as their banner, it looks like Perry will be right there with them as an overseer, ready to wield his veto power on all things Classic Journey." As quoted by Don on 12/7/2010

I do like them, maybe not every cut on each album, but "Of A Lifetime" is an amazing song.

I like them even though I sometimes get the urge to drag out the blacklight and velvet posters while listening. :P

Music played for the sake of the music. Sounds good to me.

Yea, what he said. Charge of the Light Brigade :?: If this is a joke, I'm not getting it.

First three albums musical masterpieces. What an epic song "Look Into the Future" is. So many good songs on those records. A couple more not mentioned include Karma and Mystery Mountain. Great Great Stuff.

And they did not sell well, as stated earlier, because they were long instumental pieces and not radio friendly. But that was "the shit" back at that time. And the cool people knew it and were into it. You gotta remember that these records were released in the days when Disco ruled the airwaves.

But the 70's had a lot of cool music, not just disco. From Elton John to Billy Joel to Paul McCartney & Wings. Eagles, Doobie Bros., Chicago, CSN&Y, Linda Ronstadt, Anne Murray. These are just some of my favorites that come to mind. And, yes, they were on the radio. I guess Journey never got on the radio until SP was hired.
